On June 20, 2023, Supreme Auto, the official distributor of Ferrari in Vietnam, unveiled the brand’s first-ever high-riding supercar, the Purosangue. This marks a significant departure from Ferrari’s traditional offerings during its over 80 years of development.
It has been two years since the anticipation of seeing the first Ferrari Purosangue on Vietnamese roads, but surprisingly, not a single Purosangue has been registered in the country. However, hopes were rekindled recently when a pre-owned car dealer shared images of a Purosangue stored in a warehouse in Ho Chi Minh City.
The gray-colored Ferrari Purosangue SUV is likely to be a missing piece for Vietnamese enthusiasts who already own high-performance SUVs such as the Aston Martin DBX707, Lamborghini Urus, Bentley Bentayga, and Range Rover SV.
This Purosangue is expected to be a officially imported vehicle, with a price tag starting from VND 40 billion (approximately $1.7 million), excluding additional options.
One of the most impressive features of the Ferrari Purosangue is its spacious cargo area and a proper rear seat that comfortably accommodates four adults. Additionally, the Italian marque has equipped its first high-riding supercar with reverse-opening doors, making ingress and egress easier for rear passengers while adding a unique character to the vehicle.
For a price starting from VND 40 billion, Vietnamese customers will experience something that SUVs from Lamborghini or Aston Martin cannot offer—a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine, a legendary powerplant that is the dream of any Ferrari enthusiast.
This engine produces a staggering 715 horsepower and 715 Nm of torque. Combined with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive, the Ferrari Purosangue accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of over 310 km/h.
