Segment A Car Sales in May 2025 (units: cars)

Hyundai Grand i10: 280 units sold

In May 2025, the Hyundai Grand i10 recorded sales of 280 units, reflecting a 13.8% decrease. Despite this drop in sales, the Hyundai representative maintained its leading position within the segment A category.

Hyundai Grand i10

The Hyundai Grand i10, available in Vietnam with six attractive trim levels, offers a competitive price range from VND 360 million to VND 455 million. Besides its affordability, this model boasts impressive features that surpass its competitors in the same segment.

Equipped with LED daytime running lights, 15-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, and side mirrors with turn signal indicators, the Grand i10 makes a stylish impression. The interior features an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with a dedicated navigation system for the Vietnamese market. Adding to its convenience are the push-button start and smart key entry.

Under the hood, the Grand i10 is powered by a 1.2L Kappa MPI gasoline engine that delivers 83 horsepower and 114 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission.

Toyota Wigo: 162 units sold

Ranking second in the segment A category for May 2025 sales is the Toyota Wigo. With 162 units sold, the Wigo experienced a significant 45% decline in sales.

Toyota Wigo

Currently, the Toyota Wigo is offered in Vietnam with only one trim level, the G, priced at VND 405 million. Not only does it have fewer trim options compared to its rivals, but the Wigo also carries a higher starting price. However, it makes up for this with its eye-catching design, competitive features, and the trusted Toyota brand name.

The Wigo comes equipped with LED headlights, electrically adjustable and foldable side mirrors, 14-inch alloy wheels, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a four-speaker audio system. Additionally, it offers advanced safety features rarely found in this segment, including a Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) system.

Under the hood, the Wigo is powered by a 1.2L engine paired with a Dual-CVT automatic transmission. This engine produces 87 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque. With the discontinuation of the E trim, the Wigo is now only available with an automatic transmission.

Kia Morning: 4 units sold

The Kia Morning witnessed the most significant decline in sales within the segment A category in May 2025, with only 4 units sold, reflecting a staggering 91.1% decrease. Consequently, the Kia Morning continues to rank last in this segment and tops the list of the 10 worst-selling cars in the Vietnamese market for May 2025.

Kia Morning

In Vietnam, the Kia Morning is currently available in two trim levels: MT and X-Line, priced at VND 349 million and VND 424 million, respectively. It is the most affordable offering in the segment A category.

However, the Kia Morning fails to impress Vietnamese consumers due to its inferior features compared to its competitors. It lacks LED headlights and cruise control, and its design and features have remained largely unchanged for a long time. Nevertheless, the Morning offers LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, electrically adjustable and foldable side mirrors with turn signal indicators, 14- to 15-inch wheels, an analog instrument cluster with a multi-information display, leather seats, an 8-inch infotainment screen, a six-speaker audio system, and automatic climate control.

The Kia Morning is powered by a 1.25L Kappa gasoline engine that produces 83 horsepower and 120 Nm of torque. It is paired with either a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual transmission.
