Unveiling the VinFast Minio Green: A Sneak Peek at Vietnam’s Upcoming Affordable Electric Mini Car

Leaked images of the VinFast Minio Green reveal an intriguing glimpse into Vietnam’s upcoming affordable electric vehicle market. With production seemingly complete, the Minio Green bears a striking resemblance to its 3D graphic counterparts, while also unveiling intriguing real-world details.

Small Car, Big Details

Despite its compact size, the Minio Green surprises with LED projector headlights, a notable upgrade from the halogen lights found in its larger sibling, the VF 3. This feature alone sets it apart in the sub-VND 300 million price range.

The car also boasts black matte plastic SUV/crossover-style body cladding, halogen taillights, a single windshield wiper, 13-inch wheels, and manually adjustable side mirrors, similar to the VF 3. Its overall design exudes a dynamic and practical aura, making it well-suited for navigating through busy city streets.

Simplicity Meets Functionality in the Interior

Inside, the Minio Green stays true to VinFast’s earlier revelations, featuring cloth upholstery, a manually adjustable driver’s seat, and a color scheme mirroring the VF 3. A multi-information display sits behind the steering wheel, providing both essential vehicle data and basic entertainment functions.

While lacking Bluetooth connectivity, the car comes equipped with an FM radio and a two-speaker audio system, catering to those who prioritize practicality over technological frills.

Notably, the rear seat is positioned close to the back window, indicating a modest cargo area, which is understandable given its compact dimensions—3,090 mm in length, 100 mm shorter than the VF 3.

Safety Features Tailored for Urban Environments

The Minio Green is fitted with front disc brakes and rear drum brakes, along with MacPherson suspension for both axles. Safety features include ABS, traction control, and a driver-side airbag—a sensible suite of safety technologies considering its price point.

Efficiency and the Advantage of Free Charging

According to VinFast, the Minio Green is powered by a 20 kW electric motor, delivering 65 Nm of torque and a top speed of 80 km/h. Its 14.7 kWh battery offers an impressive range of up to 170 km on a single charge (based on the NEDC standard). With a maximum charging capacity of 12 kW, the charging port is conveniently located on the rear passenger side of the vehicle.
