Audi has unveiled the latest generation of its luxury SUV, the Q5, last autumn. Nearly a year later, Audi is launching new plug-in hybrid versions of this model in the European market. The hybrid versions of the Audi Q5 offer two power levels, available for both the traditional SUV and SUV-coupe body styles.

Audi Q5 introduces a new plug-in hybrid variant.

Specifically, the standard Audi Q5 plug-in hybrid is equipped with a 2.0L 4-cylinder TFSI gasoline engine, a 25.9 kWh battery pack, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission integrated with an electric motor. This system delivers a combined output of 295 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque. As a result, the car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h.

On the other hand, the higher-performance version boasts a maximum output of 362 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. With this increased power, the car’s 0-100 km/h acceleration time drops to just 5.1 seconds, while the top speed remains unchanged.

Audi states that the new battery pack has approximately 45% more capacity than its predecessor. Consequently, the car can travel between 82 and 100 kilometers solely on electric power without relying on the gasoline engine.

When charging is required, owners will appreciate the upgraded slow AC charging rate of 11 kW instead of the previous 7.4 kW. This enables a full charge in around 2.5 hours, faster than many smartphones and laptops.

The Audi Q5 can go 100 kilometers without gasoline, and charging is faster than a laptop.

In terms of equipment, the new Audi Q5 e-hybrid models feature the S line interior package with black leather-upholstered sports seats, three-zone automatic climate control, a 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 14.5-inch infotainment display. Other highlights include S-line sports suspension, red-painted brake calipers, and 19-inch lightweight alloy wheels.

Similar to the standard model, the Audi Q5 e-hybrid features a new exterior design with the distinctive Singleframe grille but in a wider and more athletic style. On either side of the grille are new vertical air intakes. The front bumper incorporates large air inlets, housing sensors for the vehicle’s safety features.

Additionally, the car is fitted with Matrix LED headlights featuring a precise design and second-generation digital OLED taillights that create 3D effects. These taillights can warn of accidents or vehicle malfunctions by displaying custom graphics. Notably, the car also incorporates brake lights with lenses integrated into the roof spoiler for enhanced safety.

The Audi Q5 e-hybrid models will be manufactured in Mexico and go on sale in Europe later this month. In the German market, pricing starts at 63,400 Euros (approximately 1.91 billion VND) for the Q5 e-hybrid quattro and 65,900 Euros (1.99 billion VND) for the Q5 Sportback e-hybrid quattro. The high-performance versions are priced at 71,800 Euros (2.16 billion VND) and 74,300 Euros (2.24 billion VND), respectively.
