In 2022, news about the McLaren Senna GTR, a race-focused supercar, making an appearance in Vietnam sparked special interest. Some sources speculated that the car belonged to a well-known figure, Jacky, although he never confirmed this.

Two years later, the McLaren Senna GTR completed its re-export procedures, coinciding with the arrest of its importer, supercar dealer Phan Cong Khanh, for embezzlement. This particular Senna GTR, bearing the number 33, has now moved on to Germany and is up for sale.
However, despite being offered at a relatively low price of nearly $2 million (over 50 billion VND), the car has remained unsold for almost two years, surprising many.
There were only 75 McLaren Senna GTRs produced globally, exclusively for McLaren’s VIP clients. This particular car was previously owned by a Hong Kong tycoon.
The McLaren Senna GTR is priced at $1.6 million in foreign markets, a significant $600,000 more than the standard Senna owned by “Qua” Vu and Mr. Hoang Kim Khanh.
Even in other countries, the McLaren Senna GTR is only allowed to be displayed at car events, and if driven, it must be on a race track.
The race-focused McLaren Senna GTR is powered by a V8 engine with a capacity of 4.0 liters, producing a maximum output of 814 horsepower, an increase of 25 horsepower compared to the standard McLaren Senna.
