According to authorized dealer sources, a Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years was imported to Vietnam in mid-May 2025.

The Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years, first introduced at Monterey Car Week 2024, pays homage to the Porsche 911 RSR Turbo concept that debuted at the 1973 Frankfurt Motor Show.

This limited-edition model belongs to the 992.1 generation, with only 1,974 units produced globally, commemorating the first year of Turbo production.

The soon-to-be-launched vehicle in Vietnam sports a silver exterior, likely the GT Silver Metallic paint – one of Porsche’s iconic colors. Customers can also opt for special colors like Paint to Sample (approximately VND 786 million) or Paint to Sample Plus (around VND 1.98 billion).

Although not part of the official Heritage Design line, the 50 Years edition features numerous retro details. It comes standard with 20/21-inch 911 Turbo S Exclusive Design wheels in Turbonite color. Additionally, buyers can upgrade to white Sport Classic wheels, part of the Heritage Design package, valued at over VND 1 billion.

Optional upgrades include larger “50 years turbo” and “PORSCHE” decals on the body, or the “Heritage Design 50 Years Turbo” decals from the aforementioned VND 1 billion package.

The Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years also features a badge on the engine grille with the inscription “Turbo 50 1974-2024,” accompanied by a sketch of the characteristic turbo snail shell.

Inside, the 911 Turbo 50 Years cabin evokes a vintage style with Tartan-patterned fabric-woven seats, reminiscent of the 1973 911 RSR Turbo concept. This interior design has previously appeared in limited editions such as the 911 Sport Classic and 911 Spirit 70.

Customers can opt for the standard Adaptive Sports Seats Plus with Tartan fabric or upgrade to all-black leather seats for nearly VND 100 million. Details like door panels and rear seat backs are also trimmed in matching Tartan fabric.

The passenger-side dashboard is engraved with the limited-edition number out of 1,974 units, along with the “Turbo 50” badge. The car also includes the Sport Chrono package, featuring Launch Control, an analog lap timer, a racing-inspired shifter, and driving modes integrated into the steering wheel.

In terms of performance, the Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years is equipped with a 3.7L twin-turbo flat-six engine, delivering 650 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed PDK transmission and all-wheel drive, enabling acceleration from 0-100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, reaching a top speed of 330 km/h.

In the international market, the base price of the Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years is approximately $234,000 (VND 6.12 billion), but can exceed $300,000 (VND 7.85 billion) with high-end customization options.

This limited-edition model has been imported to Vietnam through official channels and is expected to be showcased soon. While the exact specifications for the Vietnamese market are yet to be announced, the post-tax price is estimated to be under VND 20 billion, depending on the chosen exterior, interior, and performance options.

The online configurator for the 911 Turbo 50 Years has been removed from the global Porsche website since the launch of the 992.2 generation in March 2025, underscoring the rarity and collectible appeal of the Turbo 50 Years edition, which represents not just a high-performance car but also a celebration of Porsche’s half-century Turbo legacy.
