According to Carscoops, Ford has reportedly done an impressive job with the Raptor variant of its Ranger pickup. The 3.0L twin-turbo EcoBoost V6 engine not only delivers an enticing sound but also offers a powerful 405 horsepower, enabling the truck to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just six seconds.

However, Australian tuning firm Killa Conversions seemed to desire even more power. They recently replaced the V6 engine in the Australia-spec Ranger Raptor with a V8 powerhouse sourced from the Mustang muscle car.

Specifically, they utilized Ford’s 5.0L Coyote Gen3 V8 engine, coupled with a Roush supercharger, to boost the Ranger Raptor’s output to an astonishing 750 horsepower and over 908 Nm of torque.

These figures aren’t far off from the F-150 Raptor R, which boasts 720 horsepower thanks to its 5.2L supercharged V8. However, Ford does not offer the F-150 Raptor R in Australia, making the V8-swapped Ranger Raptor an appealing alternative for performance-hungry Aussies.

In addition to the engine swap, Killa Conversions also equipped the Ranger Raptor with a 10-speed automatic transmission to handle the extra horsepower.

One of the most impressive aspects of this upgrade, as noted by Carscoops, is that Killa Conversions managed to retain all the standard features and safety equipment of the pickup.

In Australia, a new Ranger Raptor typically retails for over 90,000 AUD (approximately $57,600 USD). Killa Conversions states that their upgrade adds 89,000 AUD (around $57,000 USD) to the price tag, meaning anyone desiring this powerful setup will need to fork out a total of 190,000 AUD (approximately $121,600 USD).
