On June 26, Honda Vietnam (HVN) in collaboration with Vietnam Post held a ceremony to hand over 205 Honda Benly e: electric motorcycles in Hanoi.

This is the latest move to realize the green transformation goal and the commitment to carbon neutrality by 2050.

With this handover, the total number of Benly e: electric motorcycles provided by Honda Vietnam to Vietnam Post has reached 405, currently being deployed in key areas such as Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

According to statistics from Vietnam Post, the postal team has operated these vehicles for a total of 65,000 kilometers, while receiving positive feedback on their quality, durability, and cargo capacity.

The Honda Benly e: is a specially designed electric vehicle for cargo transportation, particularly suited to the nature of postal delivery work. It can accommodate large-sized parcels, optimizing the postal workers’ work efficiency. Additionally, low operating costs and easy maintenance make the Benly e: an economically viable choice.

More importantly, using electric vehicles instead of gasoline-powered ones contributes to reducing COâ‚‚ emissions, improving urban air quality, and striving for sustainable development.

At the ceremony, Ms. Sayaka Arai, General Director of Honda Vietnam, affirmed, “Honda Vietnam is committed to accompanying the Vietnamese government on the path to carbon neutrality by 2050. The expanded cooperation with Vietnam Post is not only a testament to this effort but also contributes to transforming the transportation industry during this green transition.”

Representing Vietnam Post, Mr. Bui Van Hoang, Director of Hanoi Post Office, emphasized the role of electric vehicles in protecting the environment in the capital city and highly appreciated the improved operational efficiency and battery capacity of the new Benly e:, especially for delivery services in both inner-city and suburban areas.

In the future, Honda Vietnam will continue to introduce new electric vehicle models to diversify its product portfolio, expand its market share, and strengthen collaboration with large enterprises in the logistics and e-commerce sectors.
