Yamaha Motor Vietnam has unveiled the highly anticipated NVX 2025, marking the third generation of this beloved sports scooter series.
The new NVX 2025 showcases a remarkable evolution in design, technology, and riding experience compared to its predecessor.
This sleek scooter is offered in three exciting versions: Standard (priced at 56.5 million VND), Sports (68 million VND), and GP (69 million VND), providing riders with six captivating color options.
Yamaha has truly outdone themselves with the NVX 2025, featuring a complete redesign that sets it apart from previous iterations. Its aerodynamic profile boasts a sleek, streamlined silhouette, resembling a sleek aerofoil when viewed from above. The seamless lines and contours evoke a sense of speed and power from every angle.
The raised central frame provides a unique, low-slung riding position reminiscent of sportbikes. The precision-crafted dual LED projector headlights seamlessly integrate with the dynamic aerodynamic design. The 4.2-inch TFT instrument cluster, a first for a Yamaha scooter, adapts to lighting conditions and offers three distinct display modes inspired by racing vehicles.
The standout feature of the NVX 2025 is its YECVT electronic transmission system, a first for Yamaha scooters in Vietnam (available on the Sports and GP editions).
Unlike conventional CVT systems, YECVT employs an electric motor to vary the transmission ratio, simulating the feel of shifting gears found in manual motorcycles. Riders can choose between two distinct riding modes: T-Mode for a smooth, relaxed ride and S-Mode for a sportier, more responsive experience. Additionally, the Shift button enables manual downshifting with the left hand, enhancing control during overtaking, deceleration, or climbing slopes – a rare feature in this segment.
Under the skin, the NVX 2025 is powered by Yamaha’s renowned Blue Core 155cc liquid-cooled engine, enhanced with VVA variable valve actuation. A notable technical refinement is the new hydraulic cam chain tensioner, which reduces friction and enhances engine durability.
For superior stability and control, the NVX 2025 introduces traction control (TCS), front-wheel ABS, beefier 30mm front forks, and tubeless tires (110mm front, 140mm rear) for enhanced road grip and safety during hard braking or high-speed cornering.
Additionally, the scooter features integrated Google Maps navigation, seamlessly syncing with your smartphone via the Y-Connect app. Riders can conveniently access call and message notifications, fuel level, and maintenance reminders on the dashboard.
Popular amenities such as Smartkey keyless ignition, USB charging port, Stop & Start system, ESS emergency brake light, and a spacious 24.5-liter under-seat storage compartment further enhance the NVX’s appeal.
With its cutting-edge design, advanced transmission, and smart technology, the Yamaha NVX 2025 not only retains its sporty character but also rivals modern motorcycles in terms of performance and features. This scooter is poised to be a formidable contender in Vietnam’s sports scooter segment in the latter half of 2025.
