In May 2025, authorized Lynk & Co dealerships in Vietnam started taking bookings for the 08 model. Now, the first batch of Lynk & Co 08 vehicles has arrived at the Vietnam port, gearing up for its official launch in the third quarter of this year.

Imported as completely built units from China, the Lynk & Co 08 will compete in the mid-size SUV segment in Vietnam. It is developed based on the new-generation CMA Evo platform and boasts dimensions of 4,820 x 1,915 x 1,685 mm (length x width x height) with a wheelbase of 2,848 mm.

The Lynk & Co 08 competes in the same segment as the Kia Sorento and Hyundai Santa Fe.

Compared to other Lynk & Co models available in Vietnam, such as the 01, 06, and 09, the 08 stands out with its completely new design language. The exterior highlights include a two-tier lighting system with LED daytime running lights and turn signals sitting above and hugging the sides of the bonnet. Additionally, these LED lights extend to the A-pillars, creating a striking visual effect.

Despite the new design language, the 08 still retains the characteristic Lynk & Co look.

Below this is a sleek and slim set of headlights, connected by a LED strip running across the front of the vehicle. The closed grille, vertical air intakes at the corners of the front bumper, and a large central air intake complete the front end.

Moving to the sides, we notice black air intakes behind the front wheel arches, frameless doors, hidden door handles, 21-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels, and a smoothly sloping roofline. These elements contribute to reducing the vehicle’s air resistance coefficient.

At the rear, the vehicle sports taillights that mirror the front lighting design. Vertical LED strips are positioned at the corners, and a black glossy rear bumper with a sporty diffuser is also present.

The Lynk & Co 08 offers a spacious 5-seat interior with two rows of seats. As a result, the second-row passengers benefit from ample legroom.

Moreover, the SUV exudes a premium and modern ambiance with features like front seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15.4-inch central touchscreen, or a 92-inch borderless head-up display with augmented reality technology.

Other notable amenities include a panoramic sunroof, a 23-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with four simulation modes, 60W wired and 50W wireless phone charging in the front row, and an ambient lighting system with customizable colors.

Initially, the Lynk & Co 08 in Vietnam is expected to be equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, comprising a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine and an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 345 horsepower. The vehicle will also feature a 3-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.

Meanwhile, the ternary lithium battery pack offers a capacity of 39.6 kWh, enabling the SUV to travel up to 200 kilometers solely on electric power, as per the CLTC testing cycle in China. When both the battery and fuel tank are full, the vehicle can cover a distance of 1,100 kilometers.

According to some sources, the Lynk & Co 08 in Vietnam will be available in two variants, with prices starting at around 1.5 billion VND.
