The BMW M performance line has always been a favorite among Bimmer enthusiasts, and when news broke that an official dealer had taken orders for two of the latest M3 and M4 models, a few eager customers jumped at the opportunity. One of these vehicles, a BMW M3, was destined for a car enthusiast in Da Nang, while its counterpart, the M4, found its home in Ho Chi Minh City.
This particular BMW M4 Competition 2024 came with a hefty price tag of 7 billion VND, with the owner splurging an additional 1.4 billion VND on accessories, bringing the total cost to well above the base price of 5.6 billion VND for the M4.
The owner of this BMW M4 Competition chose a special Fire Orange paint job, costing 320 million VND, along with a carbon package and a Full Merino leather interior in black/orange, including M Carbon racing seats, which alone set them back 325 million VND. These lightweight seats are a notable feature, offering a unique look and a weight reduction for the vehicle.
The BMW M4 Competition’s design is a bold statement, featuring a large double kidney grille that stretches down to the front bumper, alongside equally prominent side air intakes. The car’s aggressive aesthetic continues with a sculpted hood, front fender vents, sporty side sills, aerodynamically designed side mirrors, and a muscular rear bumper. This rear bumper also houses a black diffuser and a sports exhaust system with four tailpipes, adding to the car’s performance appeal.
Other notable exterior features include LED headlights, a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic roof, and darkened taillights. For those seeking even more customization, the M Carbon exterior package is available, offering CFRP components such as a rear spoiler, diffuser, and side mirror caps.
The BMW M4 Competition is fitted with 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels, with polished spokes that beautifully accentuate their size. Step inside, and you’ll find new Merino leather seats, now with cooling functionality, and the option of M Carbon seats that are 9.5 kg lighter and feature illuminated M logos.
The digital instrument cluster boasts a 12.3-inch screen, while the infotainment system features a 10.25-inch display, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility, and BMW Maps with cloud-based technology.
Under the hood, the BMW M4 Competition is equipped with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine, delivering an impressive 503 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. This powerful engine enables the car to sprint from 0 to 96 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 290 km/h when paired with the optional M Driver’s Package.
The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters and an M xDrive all-wheel-drive system. This system includes an Active M rear differential with three modes: 4WD, 4WD Sport, and 2WD, allowing drivers to tailor the car’s behavior to their preferences.
