The Tiptronic S automatic transmission option results in slightly slower acceleration and a lower top speed of 250 km/h.
For the 2007 model year and onwards, Porsche upgraded the Boxster’s engine to deliver 242 horsepower. This improvement shaved off 0.1 seconds from the car’s 0-100 km/h sprint time, now achievable in 6.1 seconds. The top speed also increased to 258 km/h.
