Lamborghini Unveils the Temerario: A High-Performance Plug-in Hybrid Supercar in Southeast Asia
The Lamborghini Temerario has been officially launched in the Southeast Asian market, with a starting price of 23,760,000 Baht (approximately 19.13 billion VND). This all-new Italian supercar marks a significant step forward in the brand’s ambitious electrification strategy.
The Temerario boasts impressive dimensions: 4,706 mm in length, 1,996 mm in width, and 1,201 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,658 mm. It embodies the signature Lamborghini sports car proportions.
The vehicle features an aluminum chassis and body, striking a perfect balance between weight reduction and structural rigidity. With a total weight of 1,690 kg, it sets a new benchmark for PHEV supercars.
The exterior design stays true to Lamborghini’s bold DNA while incorporating aerodynamic refinements to optimize performance and enhance cooling for the high-output hybrid system.
The Temerario is equipped with carbon-ceramic brakes, featuring 410 x 38 mm discs at the front and 390 x 32 mm discs at the rear, coupled with 10-piston monoblock aluminum fixed calipers at the front and 4-piston calipers at the rear. It rides on Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires mounted on 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels, ensuring exceptional road grip regardless of driving conditions.
Under the hood, the Temerario is powered by a plug-in hybrid powertrain, combining a 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine with Hot V technology, delivering 800 horsepower at 9,000–9,750 rpm and a peak torque of 730 Nm between 4,000–7,000 rpm.
When combined with three electric motors, the total system output reaches an astonishing 920 horsepower. A dual-clutch 8-speed gearbox and a hybrid drivetrain with a 3.8 kWh lithium-ion battery complete the package. This setup enables the Temerario to sprint from 0–100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, reach 200 km/h in 7.4 seconds, and attain a top speed of 343 km/h. The high-performance braking system brings the car to a halt from 100 km/h in merely 32 meters.
Conveniently, the Temerario supports AC 7kW charging, allowing for a full charge in just 30 minutes, making it ideal for daily urban use in electric-only mode when needed.
The Lamborghini Temerario is not just a thrilling addition to Thailand’s sports car market but also a testament to the growing trend of combining extreme performance with environmentally conscious electrification in the supercar industry.
With the Temerario, Lamborghini demonstrates its commitment to seriously investing in hybrid technology, not only to meet emission standards but also to elevate the driving experience and maintain its leadership position in the evolving automotive era.
