After much anticipation, Audi Vietnam has finally confirmed the launch of its luxury electric SUV, the Q6 e-tron, in the domestic market.
The official debut is planned for July 2025.
While detailed specifications and official pricing have yet to be announced, according to dealer information, the Audi Q6 e-tron is expected to be priced at approximately 3.099 billion VND. The vehicle will compete with the BMW iX and Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV in Vietnam.
The Q6 e-tron boasts impressive dimensions with a length of 4,711 mm, a width of 1,993 mm, a height of 1,648 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,899 mm.
The Audi Q6 e-tron is built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture, a specialized electric vehicle platform co-developed by Audi and Porsche. This platform is also used for the Porsche Macan EV.
A key highlight of the Q6 e-tron’s exterior is its modern and muscular design. The front features a fully closed Singleframe grille, a two-tier headlights with digital matrix LED technology. The LED daytime running lights and taillights can display different signatures and even interact with other road users, enhancing safety and personalization.
The body is characterized by smooth curves and muscular haunches, creating a sporty yet elegant profile. A black styling package is available on select models, including black Audi logos and window trim.
The wheels come in 18 or 19-inch alloy variants, depending on the trim level.
The interior of the Q6 e-tron offers a spacious 5-seat configuration with two rows of seats. It boasts a generous 526-liter trunk capacity, expandable to 1,259 liters by folding down the rear seats. Additionally, there is a 64-liter storage compartment under the front hood, useful for small items or charging cables.
In terms of modern amenities, the Q6 e-tron impresses with its three large horizontal screens on the dashboard: a curved 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch central touchscreen, and a 10.9-inch passenger display. These screens utilize anti-glare technology, allowing front passengers to watch movies without distracting the driver.
Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a head-up display (HUD) and a premium Bang & Olufsen sound system with 22 speakers, delivering an exceptional in-car entertainment and technological experience.
While Audi Vietnam has not confirmed the exact powertrain configuration for the local market, the international version of the Q6 e-tron offers two electric motor options with outputs of 382 hp and 422 hp, respectively. Both variants are equipped with a 100 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, offering a maximum range of up to 625 km on a single charge according to the WLTP cycle.
The Q6 e-tron supports fast DC charging at up to 270 kW, enabling a charge from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes. A 10-minute charge at this rate adds 255 km of range.
Despite its advanced fast-charging capabilities, one of the biggest challenges for the Audi Q6 e-tron in Vietnam is the lack of public charging infrastructure. Unlike some competitors, Audi does not have its own charging network, so owners will rely on home charging or dealership charging services. This could impact the overall ownership experience, especially in areas outside major cities.
