THACO Auto has recently confirmed the upcoming launch of the special edition Peugeot 408 Legend Edition in Vietnam on July 5th.

This limited edition model is based on the Peugeot 408 GT, with only 215 units available, symbolizing the 215 years of the Peugeot brand’s global presence.

While THACO Auto has not yet disclosed the official pricing and detailed specifications of the special edition Peugeot 408, it is expected to be priced approximately 20 million VND higher than the GT variant.

Based on the introductory video released ahead of the event, the Peugeot 408 Legend Edition features several distinctive elements compared to the standard model. Specifically, it sports a “215 years” logo at the rear, limited-edition numbering, and embossed logos on the leather seats. The car is offered in a single exterior color option, Selenium Grey, exuding a modern and elegant style.

In terms of overall design, the Legend Edition retains the characteristic C-segment SUV coupe style of the 408 range, featuring a large grille, the new lion logo, and LED positioning lights in the shape of lion claws. The GT variant, on which the Legend Edition is based, is equipped with matrix LED headlights with automatic anti-glare functionality, 20-inch alloy wheels, and a power tailgate with a kick sensor.

According to sales consultants, the Peugeot 408 Legend Edition will not differ in terms of convenience features or technical specifications from the GT version currently available in the market. The GT model boasts premium features such as a 10-inch 3D digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch central display, a 5-inch secondary screen, a 10-speaker Focal sound system, Nappa leather upholstery, electrically adjustable, memory, and massage front seats, ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and an air quality control system.

In the Vietnamese market, the Peugeot 408 is positioned in the C-segment SUV-coupe category, with no direct competitors. It is currently offered in three variants: Allure, priced at 1.019 billion VND, Premium at 1.119 billion VND, and GT at 1.269 billion VND.

The introduction of the Peugeot 408 Legend Edition not only marks a significant milestone for the global Peugeot brand but also adds a unique option to the C-segment SUV market in Vietnam, catering to customers who appreciate limited editions, personalization, and European design aesthetics.
