BYD officially introduces the all-electric urban SUV, the BYD ATTO 2, to the Vietnamese market.
The vehicle features a compact and agile design, packed with advanced technologies that BYD is known for, including the breakthrough Blade Battery, modern Cell-to-Body technology, and superior intelligent equipment. The BYD ATTO 2 promises to be an ideal choice for urban customers seeking a trendy, accessible, and safe electric SUV.
Impressive Compact Design
The BYD ATTO 2 embodies the distinctive SUV style within a compact body. With overall dimensions of 4,310 x 1,830 x 1,675 mm (length x width x height), it is 145 mm shorter and 45 mm narrower than the BYD ATTO 3. Its 2,620 mm wheelbase optimizes interior space, shortens front and rear overhangs, enhances off-road capability, and conveys a robust SUV image.
The front of the vehicle stands out with its full-LED headlights designed as a single unit, along with slender daytime running lights and a bright grille for a striking visual impression. The angular front bumper features bright accents and vertical air intakes on both sides to enhance aerodynamics.
The side profile showcases dark-colored plastic cladding with bright accents, creating a sense of height while maintaining a dynamic appearance. The roofline creates a “floating” effect with dark-colored pillars. Distinctive character lines, along with 16-inch alloy wheels, convey a sense of movement and energy.
The rear features a large spoiler, a full-width LED light bar, and distinctive “lucky ring” taillights with an infinity symbol, symbolizing abundance and good fortune. The rear bumper has a blocky design with bright accents, adding a modern sporty touch.
In the Vietnamese market, the BYD ATTO 2 offers four exterior color options: Ski White, Harbour Grey, Breeze Green, and Petal Pink. All color choices come with a two-tone interior: White-Black or Red-Grey (exclusive to the Petal Pink exterior color).
Minimalist and Modern Interior
Inside, the BYD ATTO 2 blends modern geometric styling with premium materials and an intuitive layout. The dashboard draws inspiration from the exterior design, featuring simple and elegant lines. The centerpiece is a 12.8-inch touchscreen that rotates 90 degrees, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, as well as Vietnamese voice control.
All major touchpoints, such as the center console and door handles, are wrapped in soft leather for a comfortable feel. The central armrest houses two cup holders and a storage compartment underneath. The diamond-cut crystal-inspired gear selector is surrounded by physical buttons for essential functions, volume control, and drive mode selection.
The rear seat area offers exceptional comfort with a completely flat floor, made possible by the e-Platform 3.0 combined with Cell-to-Body (CTB) technology. The luggage compartment has a capacity of 400 liters, expandable to 1,320 liters by folding down the rear seats.
Blade Battery and CTB Technology
The BYD ATTO 2 fully utilizes the potential of the exclusive e-Platform 3.0 for electric vehicles and the renowned Blade Battery technology. It is the first urban SUV from BYD to employ the CTB structure, integrating the battery directly into the vehicle’s frame, with the top of the battery pack serving as the floor – enhancing body rigidity and optimizing space.
The Blade Battery uses LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) material, free from Cobalt and Nickel, offering superior safety, durability, and higher efficiency than traditional Lithium-ion batteries. It also performs well in high temperatures and exhibits minimal capacity loss over multiple charge-discharge cycles.
The Blade Battery structure meets exceptionally high safety standards, passing the stringent penetration test for thermal stability after severe collisions.
Powerful and Agile Electric Motor
The BYD ATTO 2 is equipped with a front-mounted electric motor, delivering 130 kW (equivalent to 174 horsepower) and a maximum torque of 290 Nm. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds, providing agile performance in urban environments.
The energy source is a 45.12 kWh battery pack, enabling a range of 380 km (NEDC) on a single charge. The BYD ATTO 2 supports both AC and DC charging, giving users the flexibility to choose the most convenient charging method.
