The Porsche 911 RSR Turbo concept at the 1973 Frankfurt Motor Show left a lasting impression on car enthusiasts worldwide, and it served as the precursor to the subsequent 911 Turbo variants, with production commencing in 1974.
Last year, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the first 911 Turbo, Porsche introduced the Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years sports car at the 2024 Monterey Car Week. With a limited production run of 1,974 units worldwide, one of these exclusive vehicles has made its way to Vietnam.
One of the 1,974 Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years cars produced globally has landed in Vietnam, as seen in shared images, featuring the number 63 on its door and a GT Silver Metallic exterior, although the owner remains anonymous.
In comparison to the unique Porsche 911 Turbo 992 owned by Dang Le Nguyen Vu, the Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years stands out with its white Sport Classic wheels from the Heritage Design Package 50 Years Turbo, valued at over VND 1 billion. The car also sports “50 years turbo” decals, a large Porsche logo, and Heritage Design 50 Years Turbo decals on its body.

Interestingly, despite not being part of the Heritage Design range, the limited-edition Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years sports the Heritage badge on its engine grille, featuring the words “Turbo 50 1974-2024” and a sketch of the iconic turbo snail shell shape.
The interior of the Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years pays homage to the 1973 exhibition model, featuring checked fabric and leather upholstery. Customers can opt to retain the Adaptive Sports Seats Plus with the McKenzie clan-patterned Tartan fabric or upgrade to an all-black leather interior for nearly VND 100 million.
The door sills, rear seat backrests, and other surfaces are adorned with the Tartan fabric, echoing the classic style found in the 911 Sport Classic and 911 Spirit 70 models. This exclusive car comes standard with the Sport Chrono package, which includes features such as Launch Control, a racing-inspired shifter, an analog lap timer, and a drive mode selector on the steering wheel…
The passenger-side dashboard proudly displays the “Turbo 50” badge, along with the serial number of the respective car out of the total 1,974 Porsche Turbo 50 Years produced.
Notably, the Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years is based on the 911 Turbo S (992.1) variant, boasting a 3.7-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine that produces 650 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque.
Coupled with an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive, this powerhouse can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds with the Sport Chrono package and reach a top speed of 330 km/h.
