On the 3rd of July 2025, an advertisement for a sports car, the Chevrolet Camaro 1SS, produced in 2010, caught the attention of car enthusiasts across the country and sparked interest online.

With its rare 6.2-liter V8 engine, the now-rare 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS sports car was priced at over 1 billion VND, and it found a buyer just two hours after being advertised, demonstrating the appeal of unique vehicles.

According to the seller, this 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS has only had one owner in the past 15 years and has clocked just 23,700 kilometers. This impressive history, coupled with its powerful V8, 6.2-liter engine, has captivated enthusiasts of American sports cars.

The exterior of this Chevrolet Camaro SS 2010 is finished in red, complemented by a set of five-spoke dark-painted alloy wheels. As a 1SS model, it boasts an aggressive, muscular look, accentuated by a fixed rear spoiler. The fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro strikes a perfect balance between modernity and the classic muscle car aesthetic of the sixth generation.

The fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro was manufactured from 2010 to 2015, marking a distinct generation of this iconic muscle car since its debut in 1967. Production of this generation began on March 16, 2009, after a long hiatus following the conclusion of the previous generation’s production in 2002. The new Camaro went on sale to the public in April 2009 as a 2010 model.

The Camaro was initially assembled at the Oshawa Car Assembly plant in Canada. While 2,750 jobs were expected to be lost at the Oshawa plant, which was initially scheduled to close in 2008, some of these positions were retained due to the Camaro’s production. This new program and the transformation of the Oshawa facility into a flexible, modern manufacturing hub entailed a $740 million investment.

Initially, the Camaro was offered as a coupé with five distinct trim levels: LS, 1LT, 2LT, 1SS, and 2SS.

The fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro SS is equipped with a GM LS3 V8 engine, displacing 6,162 cc and producing 426 horsepower at 5,900 rpm and 420 lb-ft of torque at 4,600 rpm when paired with a manual transmission. Meanwhile, the automatic version owned by the Binh Dinh-based tycoon features a new variant of the LS3, dubbed the GM L99, which generates 400 horsepower at 5,900 rpm and 410 lb-ft of torque at 4,300 rpm.
