American company Grounded RVs has unveiled its groundbreaking G3 motorhome, a significant step forward in the world of electrified mobile homes.

Developed based on user feedback, the G3 promises to reshape the concept of a “home on wheels” for the future.

Grounded G3 is an all-electric motorhome built on the General Motors-supplied Chevrolet BrightDrop Zevo 400 or 600 chassis. With an estimated range of around 460 km on a full charge, the G3 addresses the range limitations of current electric mobile homes.

It is compatible with the standard CCS fast-charging system and can be adapted to the NACS standard for using Tesla’s charging network, a significant advantage for long-distance travel.

Grounded G3 is marketed as a “four-season” mobile home due to its superior insulation, sturdy construction, and battery system capable of self-heating in harsh weather conditions, operating effectively down to -17.78°C. Its aluminum-reinforced auxiliary frame reduces weight while increasing durability and load capacity.

The G3’s interior features a modular design, departing from the traditional use of wood and instead employing aluminum frames and environmentally friendly recycled materials. Despite this, the interior maintains a refined, comfortable, and luxurious ambiance.

One of the G3’s most notable features is its multi-position bed design. When rest is needed, the bed can be lowered to maximize space. With a simple button press, the bed rises to create a living room or workspace underneath, ideal for remote workers.

The rear door is designed with a large window to let in natural light and provide a connection to nature. Excellent insulation also makes the Grounded G3 suitable for winter use.

Storage space has been optimized with numerous smart attachment points, allowing users to bring all necessary items for extended trips.

The G3 boasts impressive features such as a roof-mounted solar system, a LiFePO4 battery system, and a satellite internet connection via Starlink. It also includes a ceiling-mounted air conditioning system and remote monitoring through the Grounded+ App. The G3 also offers an optional outdoor kitchen and an expanded passenger seat row in future production models.

A compact kitchen and wet bath are located at the front of the vehicle, catering to basic needs. Grounded also offers an optional “outdoor patio” with an extended kitchen, perfect for outdoor camping.

Positioned in the premium segment, the Grounded G3 starts at $165,000 and can go up to $200,000 depending on the configuration (approximately 4.3 – 5.2 billion VND). This price range rivals luxury vehicles like the Porsche Cayenne or BMW X7 but offers a unique, eco-friendly living, working, and traveling experience.
