According to Decree 15/2020/ND-CP, providing or sharing false information, especially when it defames organizations or individuals associated with the People’s Police, can result in hefty administrative fines. If the consequences are severe, criminal liability may come into play.

Users cannot hide behind the guise of “entertainment” to justify disseminating misleading information, particularly when it impugns the honor of organizations or individuals or causes social unrest.
