The Hyundai Stargazer is a compact MPV that made its debut in the Indonesian market in July 2022. So, it’s no surprise that Hyundai is preparing to launch a mid-life cycle facelift for this Korean car.

Hyundai cars have a tradition of substantial changes akin to new-generation models in their facelifts. The Hyundai Stargazer is no exception.

Not long ago, Hyundai announced the unveiling of a new MPV at the upcoming Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025, commencing on July 24. Although the company didn’t specify the name, it’s highly likely to be the new Stargazer.

Ahead of its debut, Hyundai has released some teasing images of the 2026 Stargazer. The car in these images bears a resemblance to the Hyundai Stargazer spotted in South Korea earlier this year.

The new design showcases a flatter hood and more intricately styled headlights. These headlights form a distinctive “H” shape, mirroring the design of the taillights. The taillights have also been refreshed and are now connected by a high-mounted LED strip.

The front grille has been redesigned with rectangular mesh patterns, and the front bumper now incorporates two new vertical air intakes.

The body sides remain unchanged from the previous version, with identical window graphics and roof design. Meanwhile,

Unfortunately, images of the 2026 Hyundai Stargazer’s interior are still under wraps. However, it’s likely that the interior will receive a comprehensive upgrade. There’s a high possibility that the Stargazer will adopt the same redesigned dashboard as the recently updated Hyundai Creta.

Details about the powertrain of the 2026 Hyundai Stargazer remain a mystery. It’s expected to retain the same engine as its predecessor, the Smartstream 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with a maximum output of 113 horsepower.

The dimensions of the 2026 Hyundai Stargazer are also anticipated to remain unchanged. Thus, it should retain the same length of 4,460 mm, width of 1,780 mm, height of 1,690 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,780 mm.

The new Hyundai Stargazer is set to be one of the highlights at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2025. Following its Indonesian debut, the MPV will make its way to other Southeast Asian markets, including Vietnam and Thailand.

It’s unclear if Hyundai will introduce any changes to the Stargazer X, the SUV-styled version of the MPV. Introduced in August 2023, the Stargazer X features a higher ground clearance and a sportier design.
