A prominent entrepreneur from Ho Chi Minh City recently made a unique purchase, specifically ordering a Mercedes-AMG G63 Special Edition. With an upcoming expedition from Vietnam to Mongolia, the entrepreneur sought an exciting vehicle to accompany the journey of tens of thousands of kilometers.
Heeding the advice of his peers, he promptly decided on the Mercedes-AMG G63 Special Edition, with an on-road price of over VND 12 billion. Additionally, he invested in a premium license plate, 51L-363.63, which cost VND 245 million, equivalent to the price of a VinFast VF3 vehicle.
In celebration of this exciting purchase, the entrepreneur’s friend joined him on a Mercedes-AMG G63, showcasing a striking silver color.
The Mercedes-AMG G 63 Special Edition is a limited edition vehicle in Vietnam, and the featured car boasts a sleek black exterior with the AMG Night Package. This package includes black accents on the grille, logos, front bumper, spare wheel cover, and wheels, as well as smoked headlights, turn signals, and taillights.
Within the large luxury SUV segment, the Mercedes-AMG G63 competes with rivals such as the Lexus LX570, Land Rover Range Rover, and BMW X7. Each of these vehicles offers unique attractions for customers. In terms of pricing, the Mercedes-AMG G63 is currently several billion VND higher than most of its competitors. Specifically, the Lexus LX 600 is priced at 8.5 billion VND, the BMW X7 at 7 billion VND, and the Range Rover ranges from 8.5 to 10.76 billion VND.
The Mercedes-AMG G63 stands out with its bold and rugged design, although its dimensions of 4,763 x 1,855 x 1,938 mm make it slightly smaller than the Lexus LX570, Land Rover Range Rover, and BMW X7.
Stepping inside the Mercedes-AMG G63 reveals a modern, luxurious, and spacious interior. The rear legroom has been increased by 150 mm, and the width of the vehicle has been expanded by 68 mm. The interior features premium leather upholstery and offers a range of fashionable color options. Customers can choose from 30 different leather colors and materials for the seats, with prices ranging from complimentary to over a thousand dollars.
Additionally, customers can select wood trim options and a sporty AMG Performance steering wheel, which can be wrapped in Nappa Dinamica leather, Nappa leather with black piano lacquer, or carbon fiber for a price of up to USD 900 (approximately VND 20.8 million). The rear entertainment system is available for an additional VND 61 million.
Chrome accents throughout the interior enhance the sense of luxury and modernity. The central infotainment screen has been upgraded to a 12.3-inch display, accompanied by 64-color ambient lighting and turbine-style air vents.
Under the hood, the Mercedes-AMG G63 is equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, delivering a maximum output of 577 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 850 Nm between 2,500 and 3,500 rpm.
This power is transmitted to all four wheels through a 9-speed AMG Speedshift Plus automatic transmission, enabling the Mercedes-AMG G63 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 220 km/h.
