In June 2025, Mitsubishi showcased the DST Concept in Vietnam. According to some sources, the commercial version of this vehicle, named the Destinator, is expected to be launched in the Vietnamese market by the end of this year.

Soon after, several dealerships in Vietnam started accepting bookings for the Destinator. According to dealership sources, the Mitsubishi Destinator will be positioned between the Xforce and Pajero Sport, with an expected price tag of under 800 million VND.

The 7-seat SUV Mitsubishi Destinator is now available for booking in Vietnam, with an expected price of under 800 million VND.

Mitsubishi has not yet confirmed any information regarding the plans to sell the Destinator in Vietnam. However, it wouldn’t be surprising if the vehicle is distributed in Vietnam this year, especially considering the declining popularity of the Mitsubishi Outlander in the C-segment SUV market. The Mitsubishi Destinator is likely to be positioned as a replacement for the Outlander in the Vietnamese market.

Previously, Mitsubishi had announced the official introduction of the Destinator in the Indonesian market, set for July 17th. “This is a significant milestone for Mitsubishi Motors as we introduce our new premium SUV line to the global market,” said Mitsubishi Indonesia.

The Mitsubishi Destinator will be officially launched next week.

The Mitsubishi DST Concept was first introduced in October 2024 in the Philippines. Now, the vehicle is about to be released to the market and distributed to consumers.

The Mitsubishi Destinator will share the same platform as the Xforce and will be positioned in the 7-seat SUV segment. Therefore, it is considered the seven-seat version of the Mitsubishi Xforce.

The Destinator is likely to feature Mitsubishi’s new design language, similar to the Xforce. It will boast “T”-shaped headlights and taillights, with body lines inspired by the Xforce.

The Mitsubishi Destinator’s design is reminiscent of the Xforce.

In terms of engine options, the Mitsubishi Destinator in the Indonesian market is expected to offer two choices. The first is a naturally aspirated 1.5L 4-cylinder gasoline engine, coded 4A91, producing a maximum output of 103 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque. This engine is shared with the Mitsubishi Xforce.

The second option is a hybrid powertrain, comprising a 1.6L 4-cylinder Atkinson cycle gasoline engine, coded 4A92, generating 93 horsepower and 134 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an electric motor that produces 114 horsepower and 255 Nm of torque. This hybrid system is likely to be featured in the high-end version of the Mitsubishi Destinator.

The Mitsubishi Destinator is expected to offer two engine options.

The Mitsubishi Destinator has been registered in the Appendix to the Decree of the Ministry of Home Affairs of Indonesia regarding the basis for calculating motor vehicle taxes, transfer fees, and heavy equipment taxes. According to this document, the car has four versions, none of which have a manual transmission, and the price ranges from 212 to 240 million Rupiah (approximately 335 to 384 million VND). However, the actual selling price of the car will be higher. A sales consultant at an Indonesian dealership stated that the estimated price range is between 400 and 500 million Rupiah (640 to 800 million VND).
