Eight years ago, at the Leggenda e Passion auction held at the Fiorano racetrack by the renowned Italian supercar brand, a one-of-a-kind open-top LaFerrari Aperta was sold for a staggering 8.3 million Euros. This auction, organized as part of Ferrari’s 70th-anniversary celebrations, witnessed the sale of the final LaFerrari Aperta, bearing the serial number 210, by the famous auction house RM Sotheby’s.

Now, RM Sotheby’s is gearing up for another exciting auction, this time featuring a unique Ferrari Daytona SP3 with the serial number 599+1. With only 599 units of the Daytona SP3 produced globally, this 600th car is set to be auctioned for a charitable cause, making it an extraordinary event.

Unlike previous Ferrari auction cars, this Daytona SP3 stands out with its striking two-tone exterior, featuring a bold combination of yellow and black running down the center of the car. Additionally, the interior boasts unique seating that sets it apart from the other 599 vehicles in the series.

The design of the Daytona SP3 is a masterpiece crafted by Flavio Manzoni and his team, drawing inspiration from the curvaceous forms of iconic racers such as the P3/4, P330, and 412P, which dominated the Daytona race circuit in the 1960s.

The front of the Daytona SP3 is equipped with an impressive splitter and a front bumper that pays homage to the 1967 330 P4, while also incorporating modern touches with a lower nose and wider fenders.

The LED headlights are a complex structure with a pop-up mechanism, and the covers can be opened or closed. Similar to the LaFerrari, the SP3 boasts butterfly doors with impressive air vents, and the windshield has an arched design.

The rear of the Ferrari Daytona SP3 is a sight to behold, with a concept-like design featuring a horizontal LED light strip that doubles as taillights. The adjustable rear spoiler and carbon fiber diffuser at the back contribute to the car’s aerodynamic prowess.

The two trapezoidal exhaust pipes, positioned high up, promise to deliver an exhilarating soundtrack from the V12 engine. Completing the look are bespoke five-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires, specifically developed for the Daytona SP3.

Under the hood, the million-dollar Ferrari Daytona SP3 is equipped with a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces a staggering 829 horsepower and 697 Nm of peak torque.

This immense power is delivered to the rear wheels through an 8-speed dual-clutch F1 transmission, aided by an electronic differential. As a result, this hypercar accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in a breathtaking 2.85 seconds.
