According to the latest report from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA), Vietnam’s automotive market maintained stable growth in June 2025, with a total sales volume of 25,793 units.
Here are the best-selling brands for June 2025:
Toyota: 6,213 units
With 6,213 units sold in June, Toyota remains the market leader, bringing its total sales volume for the first six months of the year to 29,274 units.
The Yaris Cross unexpectedly topped the brand’s product lineup with 1,118 units sold in June, followed by the Vios (1,059 units), Innova Cross (834 units), Corolla Cross (806 units), and Veloz Cross (766 units). Toyota’s models remain consistent performers thanks to their durability, competitive pricing, and extensive nationwide dealer network.
Ford: 4,167 units
Ford ranked second among the best-selling brands in June, with 4,167 units sold. For the first six months of 2025, Ford delivered a total of 21,700 vehicles to customers.
Specifically, the Ford Ranger remains the best-selling pickup truck in Vietnam and continues to dominate its segment with 1,181 units sold, while the Everest and Territory also achieved impressive sales figures of 1,122 and 1,109 units, respectively.
Mitsubishi: 3,663 units
June witnessed an impressive acceleration from Mitsubishi, with 3,663 units sold, capturing a 14.2% market share. For the first six months of the year, Mitsubishi accumulated sales of 15,793 units.
The flagship MPV, Xpander, continues to be a sales powerhouse, with 1,724 units delivered to customers. The Xforce also enjoyed success with 1,431 units sold. In the pickup truck segment, the Triton recorded 1,816 units in the first half of the year, demonstrating Mitsubishi’s effective product strategy and customer engagement.
Mazda: 2,882 units
Mazda concluded June with 2,882 units delivered to customers. For the first six months of the year, the Japanese brand recorded cumulative sales of 14,685 units.
The CX-5 remains Mazda’s top performer, achieving sales of 1,500 units in June and a cumulative total of 7,384 units for the first half of the year. Competitive pricing is a significant advantage for Mazda, especially with the CX-5 2.0 Deluxe now priced at VND 699 million. The brand’s urban SUVs, such as the CX-30 and CX-3, also maintain their appeal thanks to their sophisticated design and enjoyable driving experience.
Kia: 2,177 units
Kia ranked fifth among the best-selling brands in June, with sales of 2,177 units, bringing its total sales volume for the first six months of 2025 to 12,293 units. Models such as the Seltos, Sonet, and Carnival continue to be pillars of the brand, attracting younger customers who appreciate modern technology, design, and competitive pricing.
Honda: 1,523 units
With 1,523 units delivered in June, Honda ranked sixth among the best-selling brands, and its cumulative sales for the first six months reached 11,233 units. The HR-V was the brand’s top-selling model in June, with 392 units sold, while the City remained Honda’s mainstay, with cumulative sales of 3,585 units in the first half of the year. Honda maintains its reputation for reliability and reasonable operating costs, values that are highly regarded by its loyal customer base.
Prominent Trend: SUVs and MPVs Continue to Reign
The SUV and MPV segments continued to exhibit strong growth, led by models such as the Corolla Cross, Everest, CX-5, Xforce, Xpander, Veloz Cross, and Innova Cross. These vehicles offer spacious and comfortable interiors, advanced technology, and flexible performance, meeting the diverse needs of consumers.
Additionally, the trend towards electrification is becoming more apparent, with increasing sales of hybrid models like the Corolla Cross Hybrid and CR-V Hybrid. This shift reflects consumers’ growing preference for environmentally friendly vehicles.
Pickup and Commercial Vehicle Segments: Steady Performance Backed by Traditional Strengths
The Ford Ranger remains the undisputed leader in the pickup truck segment, with no significant competitors. Meanwhile, commercial vehicle brands such as Thaco Truck, Isuzu, and Hino maintained stable sales volumes, playing a crucial role in the logistics and transportation ecosystem.
Outlook for the Second Half of the Year: Intensifying Competition
As of the end of June, the total automotive sales volume in Vietnam surpassed 89,000 units, indicating a noticeable recovery compared to the earlier months of the year.
In the second half of the year, the introduction of new models, especially electric and hybrid vehicles, along with promotional campaigns from manufacturers and dealers, will intensify the sales competition and bring more dynamic changes to the market.
