Pickup Truck Sales for June 2025 (units)

Ford Ranger: 1,403 units

In June, Ford Ranger sold 1,403 units, a growth of 11.8%. With this result, the Ford model not only leads in the pickup truck segment but also ranks among the top 10 best-selling automobiles in the overall market. Additionally, Ford Ranger continues to outpace its competitors in the same segment.

The accumulated sales of Ford Ranger in the first half of the year reached 7,785 units, making it one of the best-selling models in Vietnam.

Ford Ranger

In July 2025, Ford Ranger offers attractive official incentives. The model provides a 100% registration fee waiver for the Sport and Wildtrak versions, valued at VND 52-59 million. For the Ranger Raptor, Ford Vietnam and its dealer system offer a 2-year physical insurance worth up to VND 31 million or a cash incentive of VND 20 million.

Meanwhile, customers who purchase the Ford Ranger XLS 4×2 and XLS 4×4 versions will receive 2-year physical insurance and a Vietmap TS-2K camera as a gift. The total value of these incentives can be up to VND 25 million, or they can be converted to a cash incentive of VND 14 million, depending on the customer’s choice.

In addition to the incentives, Ford Ranger appeals to Vietnamese customers with its design, equipment, and versions. The model is currently priced between VND 707 million and VND 1.306 billion.

Under the hood, Ford Ranger in Vietnam offers two diesel engine options with a 2.0L capacity. The first is a single-turbo engine that delivers a maximum output of 167 horsepower and a peak torque of 405 Nm. This engine is paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. The second is a bi-turbo engine that produces 207 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Mitsubishi Triton: 317 units

Similar to its rival, Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi Triton also experienced a more prosperous month in terms of sales. With 317 units sold, the model achieved a 12% growth rate. This number brings the accumulated sales of Mitsubishi Triton in the first six months to 1,816 units, ranking second in the pickup truck segment, after Ford Ranger.

Mitsubishi Triton

In July, Mitsubishi Triton continues to offer official promotions. Specifically, the brand supports 50% of the registration fee for the 2WD AT GLX, 2WD AT Premium, and 4WD AT Athlete versions, saving customers VND 20-28 million. In addition, the brand also offers gifts worth VND 10 million for purchasing this pickup truck.

Compared to Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi Triton is more affordable, ranging from VND 655 million to VND 924 million. The model also boasts attractive designs and equipment.

For that price, customers will enjoy features such as an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a 7-inch multi-information display in the instrument cluster, a 9-inch center touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and wired Android Auto connectivity, dual-zone automatic climate control, wireless charging, a 360-degree camera, forward collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, automatic headlights, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert.

The Mitsubishi Triton in Vietnam is powered by a 2.4L MIVEC turbocharged diesel engine. In the 2WD AT GLX and 2WD AT Premium versions, the engine generates a maximum output of 184 horsepower and a peak torque of 430 Nm. The 4WD AT Athlete version produces 204 horsepower and 470 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and either a 1-wheel or 2-wheel drive system, depending on the version.

Toyota Hilux: 208 units

In contrast to the first two models, Toyota Hilux faced a decline in June 2025, with sales of only 208 units, a decrease of 21.2%. The accumulated sales of Toyota Hilux in the first six months also ranked third in the segment, with 1,401 units.

Toyota Hilux

Unlike its competitors, Toyota Hilux has not offered any official incentives. Its price is also not much lower than its rivals, ranging from VND 668 million to VND 999 million. Therefore, the sales of this Toyota model have not improved significantly.

The Toyota Hilux in Vietnam boasts notable features such as a 9-inch center touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera, six sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.

Toyota Hilux is powered by two types of 4-cylinder diesel engines. The first is a 2.4L engine that delivers 144 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. The second is a 2.8L turbocharged engine that produces 201 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. These engines are paired with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission and either a 1-wheel or 2-wheel drive system, depending on the version.

Isuzu D-Max: 31 units

Isuzu D-Max experienced the highest sales decline among pickup trucks in June, with only 31 units sold, a decrease of 59.7%. The sales of Isuzu D-Max in June 2025 and the first half of the year ranked last in the pickup truck segment.

Isuzu D-Max

Isuzu D-Max offers the most attractive price in the segment, starting from VND 650 million to VND 880 million. However, its design is quite selective, and the equipment may not be convincing enough. The association of the Isuzu brand with trucks in Vietnam, along with ineffective sales and promotion strategies, also contributes to the low sales performance of the D-Max model.

The Isuzu D-Max in Vietnam features LED lights, 18-inch rims, a 7-inch multi-information display in the instrument cluster, a 9-inch center touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a Type C USB port, black and brown leather seats, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with CoolMax heat-reducing technology, a UVA/UVB protective windshield, an 8-speaker Dynamic Surround Sound system, and a 2-zone automatic climate control system with PM2.5 dust filtration.

Under the hood, Isuzu D-Max is equipped with a 1.9L 4-cylinder diesel engine that delivers 150 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and either a 1-wheel or 2-wheel drive system.
