After an exciting journey of creative ideas, the “Vietnamese Identity” electric motorcycle design contest has come to an end, finding the owners of the most outstanding designs.
Over a month of competition, the “Vietnamese Identity” contest organized by VinFast in collaboration with SChannel has officially concluded, leaving deep impressions. Hundreds of young people from all over the country brought impressive designs to the contest, showcasing the “Vietnamese identity” – true to the name of the contest.
No longer just a means of transportation, the VinFast electric motorcycles have become unique “canvases” to tell the story of Vietnamese culture through contemporary creative language.
Out of the 9 excellent designs that made it to the second round, the First Prize was awarded to Nguyen Tuyet Nhi (Ho Chi Minh City) for her design, “The Shape of Heritage – The Rhythm of the Future,” on the VinFast Motio model. The winner received a VinFast Motio printed with her own winning design and a cash prize of 20 million VND.
Winning artwork by Nguyen Tuyet Nhi (Ho Chi Minh City)
Tuyet Nhi’s artwork impressed the judges with its subtle blend of tradition and future, cultural depth, and innovative spirit. The sacred Dong Son drum patterns combined with highland brocade motifs depicted a culturally diverse Vietnam, still unified in its national identity. On the body of the bike, the image of a girl in a proud ao dai (traditional Vietnamese dress) stands tall amidst the sky and earth, symbolizing the soft yet resilient beauty of Vietnamese women. On the side panel is an epic painting, recounting the journey from the country’s founding to today’s era of integration.
Especially, the warm red and yellow tones not only accentuated the design but also served as a reminder of our roots, the “red blood, yellow skin,” and an identity that cannot be dissolved in the global stream.

The two Second Prizes – each worth 15 million VND – were awarded to two outstanding individuals with strong creative prowess: Ngo Thi Phuong Thao with her work, “Vietnamese Wings,” featuring a stylized image of the Chim Lac bird, expressing the young generation’s aspiration to soar high; and Duong The Vinh with “Vietnamese Lotus Shape,” a subtle blend of national symbols and contemporary design styles.

Additionally, two Inspirational Design Awards – each worth 5 million VND – were also presented to honor emotionally stirring creative stories. “Vietnamese Wings” once again showcased Ngo Thi Phuong Thao’s talent, while Do Viet Thang left a strong impression with “Vietnamese Pottery Art” – a design that celebrated the beauty of traditional handicrafts through a youthful and modern lens.
Despite their different styles, all the outstanding artworks shared a common thread: using design to express their love for their country. Each vehicle is not merely a technological product but also a cultural statement, where Vietnamese identity is transformed into visual inspiration, spreading the aspiration for integration while preserving our heritage.
When sharing about the judging process, the jury members offered diverse perspectives but unanimously emphasized creativity, message delivery, national spirit, and practical applicability.
With the mindset of a professional designer, Le Anh Tung (known as Tung Shark) – Director of the Studio Block and Creative Director of OEG – sought harmony between art and the market: “I look for a piece of art that has patterns and details that can convince customers: That is the vehicle I want to buy. I am willing to display and ride that vehicle out on the street.”
From another perspective, Nguyen Lac Huy, the founder of SChannel, approached it from the viewpoint of the majority: “My criteria are simpler, based on the eyes of an ordinary person. I choose a design that expresses Vietnamese identity in the most relatable way.”
As the contest comes to a close, the creative journey of the young generation who love Vietnamese culture continues. The inspiring designs from the contest not only adorn the VinFast electric motorcycles but also inspire and instill pride in Vietnamese identity in daily life.
“Vietnamese Identity” is a creative design playground exclusively for VinFast’s electric motorcycle line, organized by VinFast in collaboration with SChannel since May 2025. Aimed at students aged 16 to 24 nationwide, the contest offers an opportunity for the younger generation to express their personalities and tell stories rich in Vietnamese identity through modern design language. In just over a month since its launch, the contest has attracted more than 300 entries from all over the country. Each artwork is a bold creative journey where traditional cultural symbols such as Ly dynasty dragons, Dong Son drums, highland brocade, or Bat Trang pottery are reinterpreted with fresh perspectives and contemporary spirit. |
