After much anticipation, Audi Vietnam has finally confirmed the launch of its luxury electric SUV, the Q6 e-tron, in the domestic market.

The official launch is planned for July 2025.

While detailed specifications and official pricing have yet to be announced, according to dealer information, the Audi Q6 e-tron is expected to be priced at approximately 3.099 billion VND. The vehicle will compete with the BMW iX and Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV in Vietnam.

With overall dimensions of 4,711 x 1,993 x 1,648 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,899 mm, the Q6 e-tron is a sizable SUV.

The Audi Q6 e-tron is built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture, a specialized electric vehicle platform co-developed by Audi and Porsche. This platform is also used by the Porsche Macan EV.

The exterior design of the Q6 e-tron is a highlight, combining modern and muscular elements. The front features a fully closed Singleframe grille, a two-tier headlights with digital matrix LED technology. The LED daytime running lights and taillights can display different signatures and even interact with other road users, enhancing safety and personalization.

The body is sculpted with soft contours and bold accents, resulting in a sporty yet elegant profile. A black styling package is available on select models, including black Audi logos and window trim.

The wheels are 18 or 19-inch alloy, depending on the trim level.

The interior of the Q6 e-tron offers a spacious 5-seat layout with two rows of seats and a generous 526-liter luggage compartment, expandable to 1,259 liters by folding down the rear seats. Additionally, there is a 64-liter storage compartment under the front hood, convenient for small items or charging cables.

The Q6 e-tron boasts modern amenities such as three large horizontal screens on the dashboard: an 11.9-inch curved display for the digital instrument cluster, a 14.5-inch central touchscreen, and a 10.9-inch screen for the front passenger with anti-distraction technology, allowing passengers to watch movies without distracting the driver.

Additionally, the SUV features a head-up display (HUD) and a premium Bang & Olufsen sound system with 22 speakers, delivering an exceptional in-car entertainment and technological experience.

Although Audi Vietnam has not confirmed the exact powertrain configuration for the local market, the Q6 e-tron is offered with two electric motor options internationally, producing 382 and 422 horsepower, respectively. Both versions are equipped with a 100 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, offering a maximum range of up to 625 km on a single charge according to the WLTP cycle.

The vehicle supports fast DC charging at up to 270 kW, enabling a charge from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes. A 10-minute charge at this rate adds approximately 255 km of range.

Despite its advanced fast-charging capabilities, one of the biggest challenges for the Audi Q6 e-tron in Vietnam is the lack of public charging infrastructure. Unlike some competitors, Audi does not currently have its own charging network, so owners will rely on home charging or dealership charging services, which may impact the overall ownership experience, especially in rural areas.
