According to a report from the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA), the total sales of its member brands in the first six months of 2025 reached 163,021 units, a 21% increase compared to the same period last year.
When including figures from VinFast and Hyundai Thà nh Công, the total vehicle consumption in the market reached 254,794 units, equivalent to a nearly 20% growth.
Among them, VinFast was the top-selling brand in the market with 67,569 units, far surpassing the second-place Toyota with 29,274 units and Hyundai in third place with 24,204 units. Other leading brands include Ford (21,700 units), Mitsubishi (15,793 units), and Mazda (14,298 units).

VinFast VF 3: 23,803 units
Since its launch, the VinFast VF 3 has quickly become VinFast’s best-selling product. Its compact design, competitive pricing starting at just VND 299 million, and flexible sales policies have created a frenzy, surpassing even the VF 5 to become the top-selling model in the market.
Mitsubishi Xpander: 8,187 units
The Xpander continues to be the best-selling gasoline-powered car in the market, contributing over 51% to Mitsubishi’s sales in Vietnam. Its practical design, reasonable price, and low operating costs have helped this MPV maintain its strong performance over the years.
The Xpander is currently offered in 4 versions, priced from VND 560 million to VND 698 million.
Ford Ranger: 7,785 units
With 7,785 units sold in the first half of 2025, the Ford Ranger solidifies its leadership position in the pickup truck segment in Vietnam. It is also Ford’s best-selling model, contributing 35.9% to the brand’s total sales.
The Ranger is available in 6 versions, priced from VND 659 million to VND 1.299 billion.
Mazda CX-5: 7,384 units
The Mazda CX-5 sold 7,384 units in the first half of 2025, accounting for 50.3% of THACO-Mazda’s total sales in Vietnam. It is safe to say that this model has been carrying the Mazda brand for quite some time.
As a familiar name in the best-selling list for many consecutive years, the Mazda CX-5 is currently assembled domestically in 7 versions, with prices ranging from VND 749 million to VND 979 million.
Toyota Yaris Cross: 5,420 units
The Toyota Yaris Cross was the brand’s best-selling model in Vietnam in the first half of 2025, with sales of 5,420 units, accounting for 18.5% of Toyota’s total sales during the same period.
Introduced in the Vietnamese market since late September 2023, the Toyota Yaris Cross belongs to the B-SUV segment and is imported from Indonesia. This model is currently offered in 2 versions, priced at VND 730 million and VND 838 million, respectively.
Hyundai Tucson: 3,832 units
The Hyundai Tucson was the brand’s best-selling model in Vietnam in the first half of 2025, surpassing the Accent, which had led sales for many years. With 3,832 units sold, the Tucson accounted for 21.1% of Hyundai’s total passenger car sales in the first six months.
This C-SUV received a mid-life upgrade in October 2024 and is currently offered in 4 versions, with prices ranging from VND 769 million to VND 979 million.
Honda City: 3,585 units
With sales of 3,585 units in the first half of 2025, the Honda City maintained its position as Honda’s best-selling model in Vietnam, accounting for 31.9% of the brand’s total sales during this period.
The Honda City is available in Vietnam in 3 versions – G, L, and RS, with prices ranging from VND 499 million to VND 569 million.
KIA Seltos: 2,605 units
Despite selling only 2,605 units in the first half of 2025, the KIA Seltos remains KIA’s best-selling model in Vietnam, surpassing the Sonet compact crossover. The Seltos contributed 21.2% to the South Korean brand’s total sales in the first half of this year.
In Vietnam, the KIA Seltos is offered in 5 versions, with prices ranging from VND 599 million to VND 769 million. However, as the brand’s flagship model, the Seltos faces intense competition in the B-SUV segment, particularly from strong rivals like the Mitsubishi Xforce, Toyota Yaris Cross, and Hyundai Creta, all of which are outperforming it in the market.
Suzuki XL7 Hybrid: 1,193 units
The Suzuki XL7 Hybrid continues to be Suzuki’s flagship model in the Vietnamese market in the first half of 2025, with 1,193 units sold, accounting for 42.5% of the brand’s total sales, including both passenger and commercial vehicles.
The Suzuki XL7 Hybrid is imported from Indonesia and is currently priced at VND 599.9 million.
