In a recent reveal, graphic artist Theottle has unveiled a sketch of the 2026 Toyota Yaris with a unique look, drawing inspiration from the prestigious Crown Sport model.

Based on the sketch, the 2026 Toyota Yaris retains the current Yaris platform but adopts Toyota’s new design language.

The front of the car impresses with slender LED lights, a large air intake, distinct lines, and a definite sporty style. The body has been streamlined, with hidden door handles and dark-colored rims, creating a more mature and modern appearance than the current design.

The rear has been completely redesigned with sleek LED taillights connected by a horizontal light bar, an integrated spoiler, and a boldly styled bumper. The overall design gives the impression of a “mini Crown,” reminiscent of the premium sports crossover only available in the Japanese market.

The fourth-generation Toyota Yaris (codenamed XP210) has been on the market since 2020. Despite maintaining its position as one of the best-selling cars in Europe, the Yaris is due for a significant upgrade, nearly five years after its release. While the Hybrid 130 version was introduced in Europe in 2023, the Japanese market only received minor design tweaks. These moves have led observers to speculate that Toyota might be quietly preparing for an entirely new generation of Yaris.

While Theottle’s rendering is not an official design, it is entirely feasible for Toyota to elevate this hatchback model. With Yaris sales remaining strong at nearly 200,000 units sold in Europe and the US in the first half of the year, there is a solid basis for Toyota to invest significantly in the next generation.

The question now is not “Will the Yaris change?” but “How far will Toyota take this change?” If the future of the Yaris aligns with Theottle’s vision, customers can expect a compact urban car with a premium feel, a rare find in today’s hatchback market.
