According to Carscoops, price hikes due to tariff-related reasons have become a common occurrence in the US. Mitsubishi is the latest automaker to adjust its pricing in the American market, with an average increase of 2.1%.

Reuters revealed that Mitsubishi’s price increase would take effect almost immediately. The automaker stated that this was a “direct result of our ongoing and frequent pricing reviews to ensure our vehicles align with segment expectations.” According to Reuters, the price increase does not apply to vehicles currently at dealerships.

With a 2.1% hike, the Mitsubishi Outlander, which previously started at 29,645 USD, will now have a base price of 30,268 USD, an increase of 623 USD. The Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, currently starting at 26,545 USD, is expected to increase to 27,102 USD after the adjustment.

Carscoops suggested that Mitsubishi might still be bearing the brunt of tariff-related impacts, indicating the possibility of further price increases in the future.

Previously, Mitsubishi had halted deliveries to US dealerships after President Donald Trump imposed a 25% tariff on imported vehicles. However, the Japanese automaker resumed deliveries last week, suggesting that they may have abandoned hopes for an imminent improvement in tariff conditions.

Mitsubishi is the latest automaker to adjust vehicle prices in the US due to tariffs. Ford recently increased the prices of its Maverick, Bronco Sport, and Mustang Mach-E models, produced in Mexico, by 2,000 USD. Subaru has also implemented increases ranging from 750 to 2,055 USD on almost all its vehicles sold in the US.
