A private import company in Hanoi recently shared images of the first Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II to arrive in Vietnam, after keeping it under wraps for almost two months. The tasteful choice of paint and interior finish speaks volumes about the importer’s refined taste.
Unveiling the First Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II in Vietnam
In 2024, the esteemed British luxury automobile brand, renowned for its iconic Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament, unveiled an upgraded version of its most sought-after model, the Cullinan. This imposing SUV is the brand’s best-selling vehicle, and uniquely, it is often chosen by owners for personal driving rather than being chauffeured, despite offering one of the most comfortable rear seats in the automotive industry.
The Cullinan Series II boasts enhancements to both its exterior and interior, along with the introduction of new materials designed to enhance the in-cabin experience.
At the front, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II sports a redesigned look, featuring the brand’s new Pantheon grille, a first in its history. The daytime running lights create a sharp, angular signature above the headlights, extending downward to embrace the front of the vehicle.
The front bumper showcases bold, angular vents accented with diagonal slats, while the center air intake is highlighted by a metallic lower grille.
Rolls-Royce has equipped the Cullinan Series II with new 23-inch lightweight alloy wheels, the largest ever fitted to a car produced at their Goodwood, UK factory. Breaking from the trend of flush or retractable door handles, Rolls-Royce has opted for substantial metal handles, along with traditional suicide doors for effortless entry and a distinctive Rolls-Royce touch. At the rear, sleek, flat surfaces dominate, complemented by taller chrome exhaust tips on either side of a metallic lower bumper trim.
Sophisticated Interior
However, it is the interior that typically steals the show in a Rolls-Royce, and the Cullinan Series II is no exception. Metal has been crafted into intricate air vents on the dashboard and B-pillars, while the speaker grilles are crafted from aluminum. Even the interior door handles are solid metal, each crafted from different metals to produce distinct tones when tapped.
Ahead of the driver is a redesigned digital dashboard, now featuring a Spirit of Ecstasy figurine that separates the driver’s instruments from the illuminated display in front of the passenger. Rolls-Royce has also developed a unique fabric for the Cullinan’s interior, a process that took four years and involved 2.2 million stitches for the embroidered version.
The first Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II in Vietnam is finished in a sleek black exterior, with a 4-seat interior configuration and blue leather upholstery, creating a striking contrast that is sure to impress even the most discerning business elite.
Powertrain
Under the hood, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan Series II retains the 6.75-liter engine from its predecessor, now upgraded to meet Euro 6d emissions standards and fitted with a gas particulate filter. Despite these changes, power remains unchanged at 563 horsepower, or 592 horsepower in the Black Badge variant, with a mighty 900 Nm of torque. This potent V12 twin-turbo engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission for seamless power delivery.
