According to Motor1, stricter emission standards in Europe have essentially made the Suzuki Jimny a discontinued model in this market. Jimny sales have gradually declined to zero in Germany and Europe since the middle of last year. This compact off-road SUV is making a very short comeback to the old continent, but only in limited numbers and exclusively for French customers.
As a tribute to this iconic off-roader, Suzuki introduced the Jimny 55th Anniversary Edition, limited to just 55 units in France. Externally, this edition resembles the Jimny Horizon, a special edition introduced before the Japanese automaker discontinued the small off-road SUV in the German market.
Notable features of the Jimny 55th Anniversary include a retro-styled grille, Rhino-shaped spare tire cover reminiscent of the 1980s Suzuki Jimny, and mud flaps with red Jimny logos.

Each of the 55 limited-edition Jimny 55th Anniversary models is sequentially numbered and displayed on the central pedestal. French customers can choose from four exterior colors: White, Jungle Green, Bluish Black, and Medium Gray.
The limited edition features air conditioning, heated seats, lane departure warning, automatic headlights, and traffic sign recognition. It retains the 1.5L gasoline engine with a maximum output of 102 horsepower, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
According to Motor1, the price of the Jimny 55th Anniversary Edition is 28,955 EUR, approximately 33,220 USD. However, Suzuki only accepted deposits for this limited edition from June 2nd to June 10th, with deliveries starting from the end of June.
