Lexus Reinforces its Position in the Luxury MPV Segment with the Launch of the Mid-Life Facelift Lexus LM 500h
The 2025 Lexus LM is offered in two configurations: the Executive 4-seater priced at 20.1 million yen (approximately 3.55 billion VND) and the L 6-seater priced at 15 million yen (approximately 2.65 billion VND).
Both versions are powered by a hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.4L turbocharged gasoline engine (producing 271 horsepower and 460 Nm of torque) with two electric motors. The front motor (1ZM) generates 86 horsepower and 292 Nm of torque, while the rear motor (1YM) delivers 102 horsepower and 169 Nm of torque. Thanks to the all-wheel-drive system and the 6-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission, the LM 500h achieves a total output of 366 horsepower and a maximum torque of 550 Nm, offering a powerful, smooth, and quiet driving experience synonymous with Lexus hybrid vehicles.
This upgrade sees no changes to the exterior of the Lexus LM 500h, with improvements focused on the cabin. Specifically, Lexus has optimized the sound insulation of the vehicle. The Japanese automaker has utilized vibration-reducing and sound-insulating materials around the rear wheel and trunk areas, effectively reducing road noise and minimizing vibrations transmitted into the passenger cabin. These often-overlooked noise sources can significantly impact the sense of luxury experienced by rear-seat passengers, who are the target customers of the LM.
On the Executive 4-seater version, likened to a “land jet,” Lexus has intelligently rearranged the interior layout. Specifically, the automatic sliding door control panel has been moved from the ceiling to the center console in the rear seat row, making it more accessible to passengers while seated.
The freed-up space on the ceiling is now utilized for additional lighting, enhancing the brightness of the cabin, especially at night. Moreover, a new tray has been integrated into the center console, providing a convenient space for passengers to place their mobile phones or small items.
Lexus has also upgraded the interior lighting system on the LM 500h, allowing users to adjust the brightness to their preference and the ambiance they desire. From soft lighting for relaxation to brighter settings for work or reading, the new interior lights offer flexibility for every moment of the journey.
Since the second-generation LM was launched globally in April 2023, the Lexus LM has quickly become the top choice for businessmen and VIP customers in many Asian markets. In Vietnam, the LM 500h is also officially distributed in two versions: the 6-seater priced at 7.29 billion VND and the 4-seater priced at 8.71 billion VND.
While this upgrade does not alter the overall design or powertrain, it scores high with a series of refinements that “optimize the user experience.” From improved quietness to more thoughtfully arranged amenities, Lexus demonstrates its understanding of what its LM customers seek – perfection in every detail.
