BYD Group – a leading global brand in the field of new energy vehicles (NEVs) – officially announces a three-year strategic partnership with the iconic football club Inter Milan (FC Internazionale Milano), becoming the official automotive partner of the prestigious Italian club.
This partnership symbolizes a union between two realms: green technology and elite football, bonded by a shared spirit of innovation, ambition, and a desire to conquer the world with groundbreaking achievements.
Ms. Stella Li, Vice President of BYD Group, proudly shared: “BYD believes that this collaboration is a dream come true for those who are passionate about both football and green technology. Inter Milan embodies a fighting spirit and relentless aspiration, values that resonate with BYD. With over 120,000 engineers working tirelessly, BYD continuously innovates to combat climate change and cool down the Earth by 1°C. BYD and Inter share a hardworking ethos, a commitment to constant innovation, and a thirst for victory.”
With a global fanbase of over 533 million, Inter Milan is one of the fastest-growing clubs in terms of followers in the past five years. In China, where BYD is headquartered, Inter Milan boasts more than 154 million fans, making them one of the most beloved teams in the country.
BYD, on the other hand, sold over 4.2 million new energy vehicles in 2024 (a 41% increase from 2023) and reached a remarkable milestone of over 2 million vehicles in just the first half of 2025. These impressive figures showcase BYD’s rapid growth and solidify their position as a global leader in the green automotive industry.
As per the agreement, BYD will provide approximately 70 pure electric and DM-i Super Hybrid vehicles to Inter Milan’s management, coaching staff, and players. Notably, Inter Milan will be the first team to receive a special customized version of the BYD SEALION 7, inspired by the traditional colors of Nerazzurri.
This special edition model will also be produced in limited quantities exclusively for Inter fans worldwide, offering them a chance to own a vehicle that merges football passion with cutting-edge technology.
BYD is also finalizing exclusive purchase and leasing programs for Inter Milan fans in multiple countries, bringing the BYD electric vehicle experience closer to the global football community.
BYD officially entered the Vietnamese market in July 2024, marking the beginning of its long-term development strategy in one of the fastest-growing and most promising automotive markets in Southeast Asia.
