A 2005 Toyota Land Cruiser 105 diesel has recently been advertised for sale at 1.3 billion VND (approximately $55,000 USD).

This classic Toyota Land Cruiser has attracted attention for its well-preserved condition, rarely seen in the large off-road vehicle segment, despite being nearly 20 years old.

Among off-road enthusiasts, the Toyota Land Cruiser 105 Series is considered one of the “pinnacles” of the golden era, renowned for its durability, practicality, and simplistic design. The diesel engine variant, less common than the 4.5L gasoline model, is even more exceptional, especially when it remains unmodified and in its original configuration, as seen here.

This particular 2005 Toyota Land Cruiser for sale is from the final production batch of the 105 Series before Toyota transitioned to the Land Cruiser 200 (J200) generation. What sets the 105 model apart is its sturdy separate frame, coupled with a part-time four-wheel-drive system and solid axles at both the front and rear.

The vehicle has been meticulously maintained, with its exterior and interior largely untouched. The body still sports its original pearlescent white paint, complemented by a set of new-looking Dunlop tires from the same production year. Notably, the leather upholstery, dashboard, and steering wheel show minimal signs of wear and tear. While the air conditioning system remains mechanically operated, the entertainment head unit has been upgraded to a Bluetooth-enabled unit, seamlessly integrated to preserve the original aesthetic and soul of the vehicle.

This 2005 Toyota Land Cruiser has a modest odometer reading of just over 100,000 kilometers, impressive for an SUV approaching two decades of age. According to the owner, the vehicle has been regularly serviced at authorized dealerships, has no accident history, and has primarily been used for long-distance trips rather than daily commutes.

What further enhances its appeal is its Japanese origin. Japanese-spec vehicles are renowned for their meticulous maintenance and less exposure to harsh environmental conditions, making this Land Cruiser even more desirable to collectors.

This 2005 Toyota Land Cruiser 105 diesel is now offered for sale at 1.3 billion VND, a substantial sum for a 20-year-old SUV. However, according to veteran car enthusiasts, this price is justifiable, if not a bargain, for such a rare, unmodified, and top-of-the-line example of the iconic 105 series.
