“V-Green and Green Smart Mobility Sign an MOU with Meralco to Promote Electric Vehicle Ecosystem in the Philippines”

V-Green Global Charging Station Development JSC and Green and Smart Mobility JSC are proud to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Manila Electric Company (Meralco), the largest power distributor in the Philippines.

This event marks a significant milestone in the efforts to promote green transportation and develop an electric vehicle ecosystem in the Philippines.

According to the MOU, the three parties will closely collaborate on researching and implementing solutions to promote the application of electric vehicles in the Philippines, mainly through the deployment of electric taxi services and the development of a public charging network.

Specifically, the parties agree to jointly identify and assess potential sites for charging stations and taxi hubs, while also supporting the efficient and sustainable deployment of the charging infrastructure. They will also explore opportunities to expand the electric taxi model in major urban areas such as Metro Manila and other key cities.

Additionally, the MOU mentions potential collaboration on co-developing solar solutions for electric vehicle charging stations, exchanging technical expertise on electric vehicle technology, and conducting training programs.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Duong, CEO of V-Green, shared: “V-Green believes that the collaboration between V-Green, Green GSM, and Meralco will contribute to positive changes in the urban transportation system in the Philippines. Developing a widespread charging network, combined with renewable energy sources, will not only accelerate the green transition but also enhance the quality of life for the people.”

Mr. Dao Quy Phi, CEO of GSM Philippines, stated: “Providing access to clean, safe, and environmentally friendly transportation heavily relies on adequate infrastructure. GSM believes that our collaboration with Meralco and V-Green will open up tremendous growth opportunities for the electric taxi industry in the Philippines.”

Mr. Manuel V. We believe that our partnership with V-Green and Green GSM will accelerate the electrification of transportation and contribute to the realization of clean and sustainable energy goals in the Philippines.”

V-Green is a green infrastructure provider aiming to build a smart, convenient, and synchronized charging network. In Vietnam, V-Green is the exclusive charging infrastructure provider for VinFast electric vehicles, playing a crucial role in the company’s journey to dominate the domestic market share. Meanwhile, Green GSM is a smart mobility platform operating a 100% electric vehicle fleet, striving to popularize green transportation and enhance the travel experience with quality, safe, and reliable services.
