According to preliminary reports from authorities, a serious traffic accident on National Highway 1 in Ha Tinh Province has resulted in 9 fatalities and 15 injuries. The identities of the victims are yet to be fully confirmed.

Regarding the severe accident that occurred on National Highway 1 in Ha Tinh Province in the early hours of July 25, 2025, the Ha Tinh Branch of Road Management Office II, under the Road Management Area II, provided the following information: At approximately 1:45 am on July 25, 2025, at Km571+830 (P) of National Highway 1, in Song Tri Ward, Ha Tinh Province, a passenger bus with license plate number 43F-007.76, carrying multiple passengers, was traveling southbound.

As the bus reached Song Tri Ward, it suddenly veered off course, collided with roadside markers, and plunged into an empty lot alongside the road, overturning in the process.

Initial reports indicate that 9 passengers on the bus perished, and 15 others sustained injuries. The driver, Le Ngoc Thanh (DOB: 1989, residing in Dong Quang Ward, Thanh Hoa Province), was operating the vehicle at the time.

The bus had departed from Hanoi and was en route to Danang when it reached Km571+830 of National Highway 1 in Song Tri Ward, Ha Tinh Province, where it lost control and collided with roadside markers, ultimately overturning.

Following the traffic accident, the Road Management Office, Ky Anh Road Management Station, cooperated with the traffic police and local authorities to rescue the injured, and ensure smooth traffic flow.

The authorities promptly arrived at the scene to provide rescue efforts, divert traffic, and investigate the cause of the accident. The identities of the victims are currently being verified and clarified.

The Ha Tinh Branch of Road Management Office II also stated: “The stretch of road where the accident occurred is straight and well-paved, with a complete set of traffic signs ensuring road safety, and it is located away from residential areas, hence there was no speed limit imposed.”
