The latest generation of the Porsche 911 sports car (code 992.2) has officially arrived in Vietnam since the beginning of this year.
According to some sources, nearly 10 units of the Porsche 911 (code 992.2) have been delivered to domestic customers.
Among them, the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet 2025 stands out as one of the two most expensive convertible models currently offered by the brand.
This model is priced at VND 14.54 billion. However, after adding personalization options, taxes, and registration fees, the actual price can exceed VND 16 billion.
The choice of the GTS convertible version shows that the owner not only has a unique aesthetic sense but is also willing to invest significantly in a high-performance sports car with Porsche’s state-of-the-art technology.
Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet 2025 is the first commercial 911 model to be equipped with the T-Hybrid system – a high-performance, lightweight, and compact hybrid technology. The new powertrain combines a 3.6L boxer engine with an electric synchronous motor, integrated with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission (PDK), delivering a total output of 533 horsepower and a maximum torque of 610 Nm. This enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.0 seconds, with a top speed of 312 km/h. Even without the support of the electric motor, the internal combustion engine alone produces 485 horsepower and 570 Nm.
One highlight of the new hybrid system is the fully electric turbocharger, which eliminates the need for a wastegate valve, resulting in faster response times and requiring only a single turbocharger instead of two as in previous models. The electric motor provides an additional 150 Nm of torque and 40 kW of power, even at low speeds.
The electrical power is supplied by a high-voltage 400V battery pack with a capacity of 1.9 kWh, yet it is as compact as a standard 12V battery. Additionally, the 12V electrical system on the car also uses lightweight lithium-ion batteries to reduce overall weight. Thanks to its optimized design, the vehicle’s weight has only increased by 50 kg compared to its predecessor.
Porsche has also comprehensively upgraded the suspension system for the new Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet. For the first time, the rear-axle steering system is offered as standard, providing improved stability at high speeds and agility when turning.
The Dynamic Chassis Control system (PDCC) is integrated into the high-voltage architecture and is electro-hydraulically controlled for precise operation. The sports suspension with variable dampers (PASM) and a 10 mm lower ride height deliver the signature GTS handling characteristics.
Being a convertible, the 911 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet features a soft top that can be electrically opened and closed with the push of a button, along with a wind deflector behind the seats to optimize airflow when the top is down. This detail is essential to preserving the full emotional driving experience characteristic of the 911 Cabriolet models.
