The All-New Skoda Kushaq: Premium European SUV, Locally Assembled in Vietnam, Starting at an Unbelievable Price of 599 Million VND.

Skoda has unveiled its new B-segment SUV, the Skoda Kushaq, in Vietnam. The vehicle is offered in two variants: the Ambition, priced at 599 million VND, and the Style, priced at 649 million VND. The Kushaq is the first model from the Czech brand to be manufactured at the Thanh Cong Vietnam Hung Yen plant in Quang Ninh province.

The Skoda Kushaq boasts impressive dimensions, measuring 4,225 mm in length, 1,760 mm in width, and 1,612 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,651 mm. It has a ground clearance of 188 mm and is fitted with stylish 17-inch alloy wheels.

Both variants feature LED projector headlights and halogen fog lights. The top-of-the-line Style variant offers automatic headlights with a cornering light function. At the rear, the Kushaq sports a rear spoiler with an integrated high-mounted brake light, complemented by LED taillights.

The Skoda Kushaq’s interior is appointed with leather upholstery across both variants. The front seats are electrically adjustable in six ways and offer a cooling function in the Style variant. The SUV also comes standard with an automatic air conditioning system and a smart Air Care air filter.

At the center of the dashboard is a 10-inch infotainment screen, compatible with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Ambition variant features a combination of analog gauges and a 4.2-inch TFT display, while the Style variant boasts an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. A handbrake is provided as standard equipment.

The Skoda Kushaq’s audio system comprises six speakers as standard, with the top-tier variant adding a subwoofer. Additional features exclusive to the Style variant include wireless charging, ambient lighting, and auto-dimming rearview mirrors.

The Kushaq is built on the MQB platform, utilizing high-strength steel for enhanced rigidity. It is powered by a 1.0L TSI turbocharged engine, delivering 115 horsepower and 178 Nm of torque. The front wheels are driven through a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The SUV is equipped with advanced electronic stability control, including features such as brake drying and secondary collision prevention. It also offers a range of safety features, including front emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot detection, and rear cross-traffic alert.

The Skoda Kushaq also benefits from XDS/XDS+ automatic curve support and electronic differential lock (EDL) technology.

During July and August, Skoda is offering a 10 million VND discount on the Kushaq, along with a complimentary first service (at 7,500 km). The Kushaq competes in the B/B+ SUV segment against rivals such as the Mitsubishi Xforce, Toyota Corolla Cross, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and several Chinese offerings, including the MG ZS, Lynk & Co 06, Geely Coolray, and Omoda C5.

Electric competitors in this segment include the VinFast VF 6 and MG4 EV, with the BYD Atto 2 expected to join the market soon.
