When Mulliner completes one of its ultra-limited editions, the goal is not just performance and prestige but also a statement of its position in the million-dollar personalization segment. A prime example is the first Batur Convertible, handcrafted in Crewe and now ready for delivery.
This is not your average luxury car rolling off an assembly line. The Batur Convertible is a handcrafted grand tourer, one of only 16 that will ever exist. Each car is uniquely designed by its owner, taking personalization to new heights, right down to the bespoke paint color.
Under the hood, the Batur Convertible boasts Bentley’s legendary twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter W12 engine, delivering its most powerful iteration yet. With 740 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque, this is the final swan song for the W12, a fitting farewell wrapped in a sculpted body and exquisite craftsmanship. This car is not just a vehicle—it’s a monument to performance.
All this power is transmitted to all four wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and an electronic limited-slip differential (eLSD). The chassis is equipped with active anti-roll control, all-wheel steering, and torque vectoring—not just for show, but essential tools to tame this mighty machine.
The handcrafted body exudes a low, muscular stance, with a redesigned roofline that gracefully integrates a “windshield” and haunches reminiscent of the Bentley Bacalar, yet distinct in its details and execution.
With the top down, the Batur Convertible becomes a work of art. The body showcases handcrafted aluminum panels and 3D-printed titanium details. The grille features a bespoke two-tone contrast effect, transitioning from dark Titanium at its center to a gloss black periphery.
And the paint finish? A rich Vermillion Gloss over Vermillion Satin, a deep red chosen by the customer.
Inside, the cabin is adorned in a two-tone Beluga and Hotspur leather, complemented by Dinamica, a suede-like fabric made from recycled polyester. The interior is trimmed in a unique ‘Batur Chevron’ quilted fabric, exclusive to this model, with white piping and contrasting stitching throughout. It’s not just customized, it’s a masterpiece.
The headrests are embroidered with the Batur motif in white thread, echoed on the steering wheel and gear lever. The dashboard and door panels feature a new ‘Piano Moonbeam’ veneer with a black gloss metallic finish. Anodized black gloss aluminum adorns the center console, dashboard, and door trim.
Every control knob is dark-tinted and satin-finished. The drive mode selector, central vents, and even the speaker grilles are subtly accented with a contrasting finish, executed with understated elegance and attention to detail. This level of opulence is evident not just in the aesthetics but in every touchpoint.
Sustainability also plays a significant role in the Batur Convertible’s interior. Bentley offers materials such as low-CO2 leather tanned by natural methods, Dinamica made from recycled plastic, and veneer options sourced from sustainable forests.
