Mr. Reiner Karnadi, an automotive expert from the CVT Indonesia channel, was immediately impressed by the unique and distinctive design of the electric C-SUV when he encountered the VF 7 in Vietnam and later in Indonesia. “The VF 7 exudes European elegance with its sloping roofline and elongated silhouette, a feature lacking in many modern SUVs,” he said. “This design is not only stylish but also extremely safe and family-friendly.”
Mr. Reiner praised the VF 7 for its more “European” character compared to its competitors in the Indonesian market: “The influence of the Italian studio Torino Design is evident. It’s not overly muscular or adventurous but rather modern and urban, perfect for families. That’s a unique trait that only the VF 7 offers,” he added.
When asked to describe the VF 7 in three words, Mr. Reiner promptly replied, “Stylish, Urban Cruiser, and Family-Oriented.”
Ms. Cyntia Diantari, the director of a VinFast dealership in Bali, highlighted the combination of sportiness and modernity in the VF 7’s design: “The VF 7’s exterior is incredibly sporty and stylish, with a distinct futuristic feel. It’s the kind of car you’d want to drive in Bali—dynamic, captivating, and extremely trendy,” she shared.
Although the VF 7 has not yet been officially launched in Bali, Ms. Cyntia mentioned that local customers are already talking about it: “It’s rare for a car that hasn’t been released to generate such buzz. The design is definitely an eye-catcher,” she asserted.

The VF 7 also impressed with its cabin, focusing on a tech-centric and minimalist experience—a popular design trend in premium electric vehicles. With a large central screen and the elimination of complicated buttons, the VF 7’s interior exudes sophistication and modernity.
“The VF 7’s interior is very futuristic,” remarked automotive expert Mr. Reiner. “The large central screen and minimal buttons create a sleek and modern ambiance. It feels like sitting in a luxurious vehicle,” he added. He also commended the excellent quality of the leather upholstery, enhancing the overall sense of luxury.
Ms. Cyntia expressed her satisfaction with the driver-focused cockpit design and the exceptionally comfortable rear seats. Like Mr. Reiner, she affirmed that the leather and materials used throughout the VF 7 exceeded her expectations for a C-segment SUV.
Overall, the young entrepreneur stated that the VF 7 provides a relaxing experience with its spacious and comfortable electric vehicle interior, complemented by premium materials.
**The VF 7’s Prospects in Indonesia**
Visitors to the VinFast booth at GIIAS 2025 unanimously acknowledged the VF 7’s promising prospects in Indonesia.
A key factor that makes the VF 7 appealing to Indonesian consumers is its ability to adapt to the country’s infrastructure and climatic conditions, which few electric vehicles can currently match.
“In Bali, many roads are gravelly and uneven,” said Ms. Cyntia. “The VF 7 has excellent ground clearance, making it suitable even during heavy rains. I believe this car is durable enough for the practical conditions in Indonesia.”
Additionally, according to several customers, Indonesian roads share similarities with those in Vietnam, with many narrow alleys and not-so-spacious streets. Thus, the VF 7’s agility will be a strong point for urban driving.
Notably, VinFast’s unique policies, such as a 10-year warranty and free charging at V-Green stations, are highly regarded by Indonesian consumers.
Ms. Cyntia mentioned that these policies have attracted significant customer interest. As the charging infrastructure expands, VinFast is poised to establish a strong presence in the market.
