A seamless trade-in process, attractive resale value compared to market rates, and incentives of up to hundreds of millions of Dong excited many Vietnamese to go electric with VinFast last weekend on August 9-10.

Many customers checked in early for the event at Aeon Mall Binh Duong Canary

On August 9-10, Aeon Mall Binh Duong Canary (Thuan Giao Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) was bustling with activities as it hosted, along with other locations across the country, the “Gas-to-Electric Festival – For a Green Vietnam” event organized by VinFast in collaboration with Green Future (GF). The event offered owners of gasoline-powered cars and motorcycles an opportunity to trade in their vehicles for electric ones with convenient procedures and financial support.

“I have known about VinFast’s program for a long time, but I only had the chance to participate this time,” said Mr. Bui Minh Kha (Ho Chi Minh City), the first customer to successfully trade in his gasoline car for a VinFast electric car on the morning of August 9. “The appraisal process was quick, and I found the resale price reasonable, so I agreed to sell my car for VND 455 million.”

According to Mr. Kha, before bringing his car to VinFast’s gas-to-electric event, he had offered it to a few places, but the purchase price was only around VND 380-410 million. Additionally, when selling his car to GF, all the administrative paperwork was taken care of.

Customers who brought their gasoline vehicles to the event received free appraisal and quick valuation for their trade-in

Recognizing the advantages of electric vehicles, especially their low operating costs, enjoyable driving experience, and alignment with the current green trend, Mr. Kha decided to switch to the VinFast VF 8 Plus priced at VND 1.199 billion.

Having previously owned several VinFast models such as the VF e34 and VF 6, Mr. Kha has a soft spot for the Vietnamese brand. Moreover, the extensive network of charging stations and VinFast’s policy of offering free charging until June 30, 2027, give him greater peace of mind compared to other brands.

The VF 8 currently offers a total value of up to VND 168 million in incentives

Under the “Vibrant Vietnamese Spirit – For a Green Future” policy, Mr. Kha received a 4% discount on the listed price of the car. By purchasing the VF 8 at the event, he also received an additional VND 70 million under the “Gas-to-Electric” policy, excluding a gift worth VND 50 million convertible to VinClub points for customers registering their vehicles in Ho Chi Minh City. The total value of incentives he received for owning the VF 8 this time was approximately VND 168 million. For higher-end models like the VF 9, the total incentives reach VND 238 million.

If an invoice is issued by August 20, customers who purchase the VF 8, like Mr. Kha, will also receive two tickets to the 8Wonder Summer 2025 – Moments of Wonder music festival at the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Vinhomes Global Gate), Dong Anh, Hanoi, on August 23.

Mr. Quang Tuyen (left) praised the VF 3 for its convenience and ease of driving

Also among the early birds at the event was Mr. Quang Tuyen (Ho Chi Minh City), who spent a considerable amount of time checking out the VF 3.

“Many of my friends have bought the VF 3 for city commuting. It’s very convenient. I’m also considering buying this model for my wife because of its small size and easy maneuverability, and the fact that charging is free,” shared Mr. Tuyen. He himself is eyeing the recently launched Limo Green.

Mr. Tuyen currently owns a gasoline-powered crossover with a 5+2 seat configuration, but the third row is quite cramped. Desiring a more comfortable vehicle for family outings, he sees the VinFast Limo Green as an excellent choice, known for its spacious interior.

Customers inquiring about VinFast’s charging methods

Many customers who participated in the event appreciated the practical nature of the activities, which facilitated those looking to transition to electric vehicles and stay ahead of the green wave.

In addition to Aeon Mall Binh Duong Canary, the event also attracted a large number of customers at other locations, including the Binh Duong Convention and Exhibition Center (Binh Duong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City), Hung Vuong Square (Phu Tho), and Vincom Plaza Ha Tinh (Ha Tinh).

At Vincom Plaza Ha Tinh, the event featured engaging interactive activities that drew customers well into the evening

Beyond offering experiential activities and trade-in opportunities, the VinFast events also entertained customers with captivating performances. Participants could interact with industry experts, young artists, and KOLs, participate in lucky draws and receive gifts from the brand and dealers…

The “Gas-to-Electric Festival” will continue to visit various provinces and cities nationwide in the coming weeks

The festival will continue its journey to Phu Tho, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Quang Ngai, Dak Lak, Can Tho, and An Giang in the coming weeks. To stay updated on the event schedule, customers can visit VinFast’s website or fanpage.
