The Chevrolet Camaro is a popular American sports car, but Vietnamese enthusiasts tend to opt for the standard model, with only a few investing in the SS or RS versions. Interestingly, a prominent businessman known for his folding mattress business, chose the highest and most powerful trim, the ZL1.
After some time of enjoying this Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, he sold it to an acquaintance who then modified it with a performance package from West Bend Dyno Tuning, unleashing its full potential. With this upgrade, the car now boasts an impressive 750 horsepower, complemented by a Borla exhaust system and downpipe.
After a long period of being unseen, this rare Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 has resurfaced in a Hanoi garage. The owner of this garage also previously owned a high-performance Chevrolet Corvette C7 Z06 with 650 horsepower and a Ford Mustang GT 5.0 V8.
In its original form, the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is equipped with a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine, delivering 580 horsepower and 754 Nm of torque. However, thanks to the enhancements made by West Bend Dyno Tuning, this muscle car now packs an additional 170 horsepower.
With its upgraded power, the Camaro ZL1 surpasses the output of renowned supercars such as the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta and the Lamborghini Aventador S LP740-4. It is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
In addition to the performance modifications, this one-of-a-kind Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 in Vietnam also underwent a cosmetic transformation, now sporting a sleek black paint job with a distinctive body kit.
Previously, when it was owned by the folding mattress businessman, the car was repainted from a plum red to yellow, reflecting the owner’s preference for bold colors on his collection of American muscle cars. Now, it showcases a silver exterior, creating a striking visual impact with its unique body kit.
