The Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security has just announced the list of 30 driving test centers for categories 1 and 2 that have been licensed and are qualified to operate.
To be qualified to operate, driving test centers must meet the criteria set out in Decree 160/2024 issued by the Government. Accordingly, category 1 driving test centers must have an area of no less than 35,000 square meters, while category 2 centers must have an area of no less than 20,000 square meters.
In addition, this Decree also stipulates some regulations on the location, infrastructure, equipment for testing, test vehicles, and other supporting equipment.
The list issued by the Traffic Police Department includes 12 category 1 driving test centers and 18 category 2 driving test centers nationwide.
Ho Chi Minh City has 3 category 1 driving test centers, including Cu Chi Driving Test Center (Nhuận Đức commune), Binh Duong Vocational Education and Driving Test Center (Bình Dương ward), and Training and Driving Test Center under the College of Transport (Trung Mỹ Tây ward).
Some category 2 centers in Ho Chi Minh City include Thanh Cong Driving Test Center (Hiệp Phước commune) and Hoang Gia Driving Test Center (Bình Lợi ward).
In Hanoi, the category 1 test centers include the Hanoi Road Motor Vehicle Driving Test Center (Thiên Đức commune) and the Driving Test Center for the Granting of Driver’s Licenses of Hanoi City – a branch of Hanoi Transport Corporation in Soc Son district.
The qualified driving test centers according to the list published by the Traffic Police Department will be able to organize tests for popular license categories, including A1, A, B (automatic), B (manual), and C1. Some of these centers may also organize tests for D, D2, DE, or CE licenses.
