Accordingly, from August 15, 2025, HVN will implement the Sales Policy for ICON e: electric motorcycle batteries, along with the current battery rental policy.

In addition, from September 15, 2025, HVN will deploy a resale policy for rented batteries for ICON e: customers who are using the battery rental service.

These diverse options aim to provide users with maximum flexibility by allowing them to buy or rent batteries according to their needs, thereby fully satisfying customers’ requirements.

Sales policy for batteries purchased with the vehicle and individual batteries

Subjects of application: Customers who buy ICON e: electric vehicles with the Honda brand, manufactured and distributed by HVN in Vietnam.

Time of application: From August 15, 2025.

Suggested retail price: 9,621,818 VND/battery (VAT 8%) or 9,800,000 VND/battery (VAT 10%)

Warranty policy for batteries:

2 years from the date of battery purchase for batteries sold with the vehicle.

1 year from the date of battery purchase for individual batteries when replacing, repairing, or buying additional ones.

Policy for reselling rented batteries

Subjects of application:

Customers: Those who have entered into a Battery Rental Service Agreement on the My Honda+ application and the contract is still valid at the time the customer purchases the battery.

HVN Resale Battery: The battery being rented by the customer under the Rental Agreement for use with the electric vehicle purchased at the Honda Authorized Dealer (HEAD).

Time of application: From September 15, 2025.

Form:

Customers are requested to go to the HEAD Electric Vehicle Business (as notified by HVN from time to time) to carry out the procedure for purchasing the rented battery.

All procedures for switching from battery rental to purchasing the rented battery, payment, and confirmation of purchase will be performed on the My Honda+ application.

Price of the rented battery for resale:

The price of the rented battery for resale is calculated based on the rental cost already paid and the actual usage time.

Warranty policy for batteries:

HVN only applies a warranty to batteries with a State of Health (SOH) above 80%, as evaluated by HEAD.

The warranty period for batteries is 2 years minus the number of months the battery has been used (for detailed information, customers are requested to contact the HEAD Electric Vehicle Business). The warranty period may vary depending on HVN’s policies at different times. Insurance policy:

Customers who purchase rented batteries will still be entitled to the accompanying insurance package for a specific period as follows:

Compulsory civil liability insurance for motor vehicle owners: valid for the period specified in the insurance certificate.

Personal accident insurance for passengers: valid for 1 year from the activation date (as notified to the customer).

Insurance for battery damage: valid until the end of March 31 of the following year from the date the customer purchases the rented battery.

Note: These insurances are not automatically renewed.
