VinFast successfully inaugurated its first authorized dealership in California on August 19.
The VinFast San Diego dealership, operated by Sunroad Automotive Group, marks a significant milestone in the company’s strategy to expand its retail network through dealerships across the US. This event reaffirms VinFast’s long-term commitment to the market, offering high-quality products and superior services to American consumers.
The grand opening ceremony was attended by VinFast executives and attracted local media and consumers. Guests had the opportunity to test drive and experience VinFast’s flagship electric SUVs for the US market, the VF 8 (5-seater, mid-size) and VF 9 (7-seater, large).
VinFast is accelerating the development of its US dealership network, with California being a top priority due to the strong potential for electric vehicle market growth. In addition to the San Diego dealership, VinFast continues to seek and evaluate collaboration opportunities with other California dealers this year.
Strategically located in San Diego, VinFast San Diego has been operational since summer 2025. The dealership offers California consumers the chance to discover, test drive, purchase, or lease VinFast electric vehicles, along with comprehensive after-sales services, including warranty, maintenance, repairs, and genuine spare parts, ensuring a complete and reassuring experience.
To optimize its operations and strengthen its market position, VinFast introduced a dealership sales model in late 2023. Recognizing the advantages of this distribution channel, the company decided to fully transition to an authorized dealership model in all 50 states, aiming for maximum business efficiency. As of now, VinFast has established a vast network of nearly 30 authorized dealerships across 14 key US states, including California, Texas, Florida, Illinois, and New York.

With a visionary approach to promoting green transformation and making electric vehicles more accessible, VinFast is offering attractive sales policies in the US market. Currently, the VF 8 is priced at $39,900 and $44,900 for the Eco and Plus versions, respectively, with competitive leasing rates starting at $279 per month. Meanwhile, the VF 9 is available for just $62,900, with leasing options from $449 per month. Both models are eligible for a 0% interest loan program.
Notably, all VinFast electric vehicles in the US come with an exceptional warranty: 10 years or 125,000 miles for the vehicle and 10 years unlimited mileage for the battery (when not used for commercial purposes).
After establishing a strong presence in North America and Europe, VinFast continues its global expansion by entering promising new markets such as Indonesia, the Philippines, India, and the Middle East. With a diverse range of vehicles, from the mini-SUV VF 3 to the large SUV VF 9, VinFast has become the best-selling automotive brand in Vietnam.
