On July 11, Honda Vietnam introduced the Wave Alpha and new color options for the Super Cub, targeting contrasting customer segments.
Honda Wave Alpha’s “Retro” Design
According to the manufacturer, the Wave Alpha’s new design draws inspiration from the classic look of past generation numeric keypads. The color palette used consists of subdued shades, covering the entire body, accentuated by new grayish-colored lettering.
Overall, the 2024 edition retains the compact form factor of its current models. The front of the vehicle remains unchanged, creating a monotonous impression. The display cluster maintains its original design, featuring a hexagonal pattern accent discreetly placed underneath.

Honda continues to equip the new Wave Alpha with a 110 cc SOHC air-cooled engine. This powerplant generates 8.3 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 8.44 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm.
In terms of performance, this model slightly outperforms its rival, the Yamaha Sirius, in terms of horsepower (8.1 hp) but falls short in torque (9 Nm).
The classic Wave Alpha is available in three primary colors: gray, green, and gray-white. The suggested retail price is approximately VND 19.29 million after taxes. Compared to the current model (VND 17.859 million), the new Wave Alpha is nearly VND 2 million more expensive.
Super Cub Introduces New Paint Scheme
While the Wave Alpha targets budget-conscious consumers, the Super Cub appeals to enthusiasts with a price tag four times higher than its counterpart.
In this launch, the Super Cub remains mechanically and aesthetically unchanged, except for the addition of a new green-and-white paint scheme. The seat is also wrapped in red leather, providing a sense of novelty and upscale appeal.
The Super Cub’s engine stands out with its chrome plating and additional pearlescent coating, setting it apart from other numeric keypad models within the brand.

Despite its classic design, this model incorporates modern technologies such as LED lighting and a smart key system. The Super Cub’s power comes from a 124.9 cc PGM-FI air-cooled engine.
This engine delivers 9.1 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and peak torque of 9.98 Nm at 5,000 rpm. It is paired with a 4-speed transmission.
The new Super Cub C125 is available in two versions: the Special edition in black and the Standard edition in green or green-gray. The Standard version retails for VND 87.89 million after taxes, while the Special edition costs VND 88.9 million after taxes.
With its high price tag, the Honda Super Cub C125 trades modernity for vintage charm, targeting a distinct and discerning customer base.
