The Vietnamese auto market witnessed significant promotions from car manufacturers in the first month of the third quarter, especially in the B-segment sedan category. Almost all representatives in this segment are currently on deep discounts.

Hyundai Accent Clearance Sale

A Hyundai dealer in Ho Chi Minh City offered a cash discount of approximately VND 84 million for the 2024 VIN Accent, reducing the price to VND 485 million. The discounted version is the 1.5AT High-Class Accent, available only in red and black.

According to the dealer, this clearance sale applies to a limited number of remaining vehicles. Therefore, customers are advised to contact the dealership directly to check the available stock.

The 2024 VIN Hyundai Accent is being discounted by more than VND 80 million for inventory clearance.

For the 2025 VIN, customers still enjoy a 50% discount on the registration fee, worth VND 21.5-28 million depending on the version, resulting in a price range of VND 417.5-541 million.

In the first six months of 2025, Hyundai sold 3,793 Accents, temporarily becoming the second best-selling B-segment sedan in the market.

Honda City and Toyota Vios Offer 100% Registration Fee Waiver

This is the second consecutive month that the City has been offered with a 100% registration fee waiver. This program is likely an effort to boost the competitiveness of the City in the latter half of the year. The City has the highest incentive among Honda models.

In Vietnam, the Honda City is available in three versions, with prices ranging from VND 499 million to VND 569 million. Thanks to this promotion, customers can purchase this B-segment sedan for VND 449-512 million.

The Honda City used to lead the segment at some point, but its recent decline in sales performance has resulted in a year-to-date sales figure of 3,858 units, ranking third in the segment.

In July, Toyota unexpectedly increased the registration fee support from 50% to 100%. This program reduced the price of the Vios from VND 496-545 million to VND 477-491 million. Additionally, customers receive complimentary body insurance, window tinting, floor mats, and a dashcam.

In the first six months, Toyota Vios recorded sales of 5,265 units, making it the best-selling B-segment sedan in the market.

The Mitsubishi Attrage also offers a maximum 100% registration fee waiver, along with additional gifts such as fuel vouchers, a reverse camera, or a shark fin antenna. The total value of incentives for this Thai-imported B-segment sedan ranges from VND 43 million to VND 48.5 million in July.
