Bugatti made a huge splash in the automotive world in the mid-2000s with the Veyron. This supercar achieved four-digit sales figures and quickly became a phenomenon among car enthusiasts and collectors of all ages.

The original model packed over 1,000 ps, equivalent to 987 horsepower and 736 kilowatts, from its mid-rear-mounted “beast” of an engine. Yes, we’re talking about the W16 8.0-liter quad-turbo monster on its debut, which was further refined and eventually produced even more power in later Veyron iterations.

For instance, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport, with a limited production run of just 48 units, pumped out 1,183 brake horsepower. This variant became the fastest production car of its time, with an astonishing top speed of 267.856 mph (431.072 km/h). It could hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in a blistering 2.5 seconds.

Sure, that might not raise eyebrows by today’s standards, where we have supercars (not even hypercars) that can also sprint to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, like the Lamborghini Revuelto, a V12 plug-in hybrid successor to the Aventador. However, it’s important to remember that all of this happened in the 2000s and early 2010s when the Super Sport was being assembled at the Molsheim factory in France.

The Bugatti Veyron, regardless of configuration, remains a modern classic supercar that delivers an exhilarating driving experience. A typical Super Sport now fetches between $1.5 and $2 million on the market, depending on various factors, although this model rarely comes up for sale, as most of the assembled units are owned by extremely wealthy collectors and seldom see the light of day.

However, the car featured here has been taken out by its owner for a photoshoot, and it showcases a stunning black and red livery with a new set of wheels. The alloy wheels are a custom order from Anrky Wheels, and the tires are believed to be from Michelin USA.
